The recent threads have inspired me to return back to the practice of law a decision that financially speaking I knew I had to make, but I just couldn’t because I didn't have that passionate feeling about the practice of law.
Most of this had stemmed from working in a rural area and being the new attorney on the block meant I had to take a lot cases I'd didn't want to simply to pay the bills. Five years later I found most of my cases were family law type cases: divorce, child custody, support modification and so on. I didn't like them because they were very emotionally draining, and secondly the clients rarely end up being happy because often the judge in such a case grants neither party what they want. However, I did love my bankruptcy practice, and at the conclusion of the cases the clients always ended up relived . So I have decided to take my CLE this summer and refocus on Bankruptcy and all things Consumer Law. I really think the debt collectors are ripe for the picking right now. They are hiring so many folks on a commission only basis even on work from home type deals, and they are very poorly trained if at all. So there should be some money in it. LOL Anyway thank you all for helping me rediscover what I am passionate about.
