Interest rates on the rise now that the election is over...

I can't wait for this wave of political back and forth to be over. It is exhausting reading through all the posts and threads and status updates etc...

On another note what is everyone's thoughts on interest rates in the near future and in 2017 now that the election is over.

I am expecting rates to go up gradually and consitantly starting in Dec 2016 and in the near future. They have been so low for so long and I believe the main reason they had not gone up previously is because of the election.

Raising rates will lower peoples' buying power and buyers will be approved for less of a home for the same payment.

What are your thoughts?

While it makes borrowing harder, it will increase income for people on fixed incomes. It will probably also affect the stock market when people shift some of their portfolios back to bonds.
Thinking about a spa appointment
The Fed is independent, and rates will rise if the economy merits it.

The Fed has kept rates artificially low for years now.

that's not to say I don't appreciate it. I was able to refinance and get a 3.25% 30 year fixed mortgage, a few years ago. While lending rates have come down, they have yet to equal what I got.
Dammit my DIS missed on earnings for the first time in forever
Oh please. Does Billy actually believe this shit?

Yes. I also believe in science, and even math. When things go against me, I don't cry or call the system rigged or blame it on imagery boogie men.
the rates have been artificially low for years, so they have no where to go but up. that wont be Trumps fault. dang it, I wish I had my ducks in a row so I could buy a new condo in the near future. I will be making the last payment on mine next month and I really want to move. if I am going to take on a new mortgage, I would like to do so before the rates rise.
This has been something new that i had come to knew about the hack snapchat and this is attratcing a lot snapchat users as you can peep into someone's else account without leaving any trace behind.
