Ultimately the EC is not going to change and time spent crying about it is largely unproductive beyond philosophical chit chat. And truth be told - Democrats should've made a better sales pitch to the rust belt that decided this election. Trump told them what they wanted to hear. Now we get to see how his promises manifest themselves.
Do Republicans put Rust Belt workers back on the job? Or do they give investment tax cuts to Wall Street and trust fund brats? We know for a fact that Paul Ryan's priority is on the latter. I don't know where Trump will end up but his favorability in Toledo, Ohio wont last long if his economic stimulus follows the footsteps of George Bush. Elections do have consequences.
