interesting video article on new skill based slots

That game reminds me of Pachinko!
Not to much skill involved and I HAVE played that very game in Reno in the 80's.
Bingo. Just across the rail road tracks.

Thanks for the post!

Galaxia was pretty cool also, I didn't majorly suck at it and usually play for a while on a quarter. Didn't see galaxia at HOF, I'm sure I would've sunk afew quarters into it.
Never been there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQY3_w75aGc

I will this time! Looks like fun.
As a gamer/gambler, I am intrigued by this marriage of slot machine and video game. When the Plants vs. Zombies slot came out, I kept wanting to play the original game during the bonus rounds (NO! Don't put the pea shooters there!) I would totally be down for a PvZ slot where you could play the actual game during slot play.

And if the Elder Scrolls ever became a skill-based slot machine...talk about a money and time sink for me.

))))))))))))) This is a list of what's there as of https://www.pinballmuseum.org/direct.php
https://www.pinballmuseum.org/games.php
Last updated January,2014. I'm sure the selection changes a LOT.
I can play a few of the pins, but not the video games.

Back in the early eighties,I WON a game for the highest score all month. Royal Flush.(123,000?)

I used that and one more to teach my class: took it all apart a few times including for the class. Just 2 people showed up for my "class".I showed 'em tips and cheats, too.

One great cheat:Slide a baggie under each of the 2 front legs and you will be able to "save" a drain-o ball by sliding the machine over just a little.Remove the baggies B-4 you leave or when you get caught. Tim Arnold wouldn't like it.

My brother and I would go to pinball tournaments and use a coating of super glue on our flipper fingers. to reduce blisters to a minimum.

WAY too noisy with the top glass removed! Hammers and firebells,oh my.https://www.pinrepair.com/gtb/rflush.htm

I'll go there just to play Xenon and Fireball!

Blisters from playing pinball???? REALLY???? What a lightweight. I used t live in pinball parlors when I was in high school and college and I never even broke a sweat. I'd make $40-$50 a weekend running up the game meter and selling the free games to my friends. Most of the time they would get 15 games for a dollar from me. I got tossed out of four joints for doing that so I made sure I knew who I was giving the games to after that. I would get so bored sometimes, I would play the machine "cross-handed" and in the winter time, I would put my coat over the top part of the glass so I could only see the bottom part of the game.

As far as the bingo machines go, they're no where near being like a Pachinko machine if you know what you were doing. I was pretty good at that game but I used to watch guys play that game and beat it pretty regularly. They knew how to shoot the ball and control it all the way down the board. There was one guy that I used to watch, he could shake the machine so hard, I thought t was going through the back wall. He almost NEVER TILTED. It was like watching Joe Montana thread a ball through three defenders for a touchdown.

Ray

P.S. Blisters....Sheesh.
I would get blister in my fingers now!
All of the tough skin on my fingers are gone.

Yes,I was banned out of a pinball place or 2 for handing over a high-scoring game at a place that gave out free stuff for high score of the week. ONE winner per week.
It was still fun.

On some of the tournaments,we would bring our head phones and plug into a 1/4" mono jack and totally get into the games. I won a few while I was on crutches with a broken tib-fib. Painfull to BUMP when you need your legs to work!
