i found out about this via sionows trip reports. so thanks to him for posting it and thanks to whoever alerted him to it.

this summer, i am taking a super 40th birthday road trip and was already going to be in tunica, kansas city, st louis and philadelphia. it was really easy for me to make slight adjustments and add on indiana, chester and atlantic city....which means i get 60,000 reward credits.

the best part is that this trip is that i didnt even plan it to be a gambling trip. the casinios just happen to be where i was already planning to be!

Headed to Tunica Sunday then New Orleans and Bilioxi on Monday. Got a trip to Las Vegas in Sept and will add a side trip to Laughlin still got to figure out my sixth location.
Overall this seems like a great deal.

the person who is going with me on part one of the trip (tunica - st louis and then she will be in philadelphia) isnt a gambler and doesnt seem to think this is a great deal for her since she isnt a gambler. she is only going to get tunica and kansas city and atlantic city. even though we are going to be IN ST LOUIS and then only 38 minutes away from chester, she doesnt think its worth going to swipe her card.

i explained - hello.......this has nothing to do with gambling, its COMPS and she decided she would take the $150, PAY for a room in atlantic city and then use the comps for a spa treatment.

why not just GO AND SWIPE YOUR CARD IN THE TWO PLACES YOU ARE GOING TO BE RIGHT AT and get the room for FREE?

sigh.

I was in Tunica after July 1st before I knew about this promotion. I earned points there but I'm wondering if I'll get credit for a visit if I didn't swipe at the Total Rewards booth. I live in St Louis, so I'll be able to knock that one off and I'll be in Vegas in late August. I might make a side trip to Laughlin to get the bonus credits.

Anyone know if I can get credit for Tunica for earning points but without the swipe at TR booth?

I was in Biloxi, New Orleans, and Shreveport last week and didn't see a place to swipe the card. I am with horsesrus, does one get the points just by playing?

I believe you have to opt in, earn one reward credit, and you are good.

At Horseshoe Hammond )IN), we had to go to the TR desk, show an ID, and then we were in.

At Horseshoe Southern IN, there was a kiosk to swipe, but you really had to know about this promo or you would miss it.

Each property has a different method. I take a printout just in case. This promo is hard to find on Caesar's website. I found the list at Harrahs Joliet after I searched "drawings and giveaaways" and "promotions."

Does anyone know if they check i.d. when you swipe the card? I have friends and family in several of these regions.
