Is anyone else excited about the changes at the Silverton?

Why would anyone buy a timeshare at Silverton? What's next? Timeshares at Whiskey Pete's?

We don't eat there very often but the CB chicken and dumplings are pretty darn good. We've never had a bad meal, but have had one or two "OK" ones.

I like the stuff they have for sale in their country store. We don't have Cracker Barrel restaurants in Hawaii so I am super excited!

My wife and I had been staying there for a number of years now due to the quarterly mailing offers that they had been sending us both. Usually three free weekday nights, discounted weekends, and $25 in free play. I was hopeful that our offers would get better with this big new tower to keep us coming back. Alas, just the opposite happened as we both got dropped from the mailing list as of this past June. Anyone else lose their offers?
We stopped in there in October for a drink and to hit their buffet once more, while playing a little bit of video poker. Then we went off to The Oleans instead, and stayed and played there for four comped nights. Their loss I guess, but we liked the Silverton for a quiter atmosphere for a few days.

My husband and I also fell off the list.They have a new marketing team. I miss staying there too.

New marketing team has tightened up the offers. I still get, but my girlfriend's have been reduced. The new tower is supposed to be time share, but it has SILVERTON in big letters across the top. Many other hotels with time share seem to have their time share owned b a different company with a different name.

So be it. When I win this weeks powerball drawing l'll buy out the whole new building and call it Oceans World. Also giving free rooms out to all you LVAers !!
