Car makers bought many such technological advancements and some they sat on for a few years.

I do know a thing or two about computers and how information is stored. Since the police did these unauthorized searches and got the phone numbers and GPS co-ordinates of various phones, where's the paper/file trail? As you may or not be aware, everything you do is stored on a computer. Both on the pc and the network computers, at the police station and the telephone companies. (in order to cover their asses if someone bitches)

Remember, this information requires a warrant to release the information to the police. Even under the FISA regs and the Patriot Act a warrant is required, either at the time of the search OR after the fact.

Some one typed these requests in, some where these searches are still stored on the computers both at the police station and the telephone companies.

What one is forgetting that the GPS feature can be turned off.
These are ruthless people who will do anything to increase circulation or improve ratings. Now they're busted and hopefully those who are responsible will pay.

Just don't pretend this has anything to do with conservatives vs liberals. It has to do with scoops and exclusives and circulation and ratings and money. This kind of crap has been going on since the days of William Randolph Hearst and Yellow Journalism. It's in the same vein as "Oh my God! There's a corrupt Politician". No one should be shocked.

It's just another distraction from the serious issues of our time....but not as funny as the Weiner one.

No. Not quite.
There are victimless crimes...like when a president gets a BJ from his intern...or when a Congressman emails a picture of his dick to a fan. And then there are crimes where there are in fact legitimate victims - like in this case.

There is a pattern from some conservtives who scream bloody murder about the former while turning their head to the latter. ...And many of those conservatives work for Rupert.

It will be interesting to see how Fox News talking heads comment on this. Still, I see it as a distraction. Then again, how much media attention did the whole Casey Anthony thing get?

Ah yes GPS features. Good point.

The five stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Still clinging to stage one. This could take some time. The good news is you maniacs stopped accusing Obama of framing poor Rupert. Baby steps.

51, if the English business laws are anything like what SOX did to the US businesses, there is a trail about a few hundreds of feet long. Not to mention where are those lost 1's and 0's.

alanleroy, no one is shocked. This is the same organization that spread the word about Death Panels and Kenyan birth certificates and Saddam's WMDs. More unethical behavior and dishonesty from Murdoch's crew? Utterly predictable.

This coming from a Soros guy?
Yeah, I read that on the right wing sites. Now a lot of them are blaming George Soros for trying to take Murdoch out. Odd how they just try to redirect blame by coming up with these tin foil hat conspiracy theories rather than simply holding News Corp responsible for their actions.
