If George Soros was so evil wouldn't Murdoch just hack into his voicemails to get proof? Boom, irrefutable evidence once and for all, Soros isn't evil.

Anyone defending this act, even through obfuscation, is a horrible person.

At this point the ONLY thing we have is the acquisations with NO ONE coming forward saying I got the voicemails and x told me to do so.

This is the part that gets me a thinking, somebody had to do the physical part of getting this information. Where is he/she and who told them to garner the information? Because if this goes to a trial, these folks are going to be called to testify.
"Don't you find it the least bit curious they paid $29.5 million for a company that had less than a million dollars in annual sales? "

2008 revenue was $7m. It is not unusual for a company to pay 4 times revenue.
"Anyone defending this act, even through obfuscation, is a horrible person."

Nobody is really defending what happened in Engand. It is the attempt by the liberals to paint this story (without a shred of evidence) as a corporate conspiracy throughout the company.

For example maliber comes up with stories of underground rooms which are actually part of a below street retail complex, a dead person in England that apparently died of natural causes and dismissed lawsuits

The lawsuit was dismissed because they bought the company shortly after hearing the testimony in the case. The weren't interested in buying it before. Jude Law has said his phone was hacked while in New York city by the Murdoch crew, and he is suing here in the U.S.

The actor claims that his phone, along with the phone of assistant Ben Jackson were targeted after they arrived at New York's JFK airport.

This would be the first specific case of phone-hacking on US soil, as their mobile phones were operating on American networks. Despite the alleged hackers working overseas, American law would apply. News International would therefore be open to claims that it broke US federal laws.

Anyway why does old Rupert need to assemble a criminal defense team here in the U.S. If he has done nothing wrong?

FYI: Since they are operating here in the U.S. If they bribed officials in another country it is considered a crime in the U.S. Under the Foreign Corrupt Practices act. So even if it turns out all of this happened in England he is still on the hook over here.

Why? Please don't be an fool here as if he doesn't he's walking right into a trap.

A question, so what's the reason for hacking the actors phone and why is he pressing charges against Murdoc when he has no proof that Murdoc's company hacked his phone?

No, your just NOT doing what your parents protested about in the '60's. Your not questioning what the media and the government is doing. I've brought up basically the same point how many times now and how do you defend it? By saying I'm the one trusting FOX News, when you can't come up with any theories of your own as to the why's and the who's.

Records exist either in hard copy or in several computers and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know how to find them.

Or are you going to sit there and believe what some paper and MSNBC is telling you?
The quote I posted on the first page of this thread was info acquired through the FOIA and wasn't published until last week as proof that silencing Fox has been on the agenda of people working within the American government. Controlling the media by a government is frowned upon my most people who believe in freedom. Iran does it. North Korea does it. Now, America does it, and it doesn't seem to bother anyone on the left here.

The timing of the British scandal revelations is suspect. The reactions to the revelations are not. Murdock's companies employ over 50,000 people worldwide. One business branch that has had employees that did unethical or illegal things does not make every branch and employee of the entire company culpable and worthy of elimination. Try applying the same standard to our own government.
Cool, so we'll just cut Fox News the same slack they cut Acorn over one receptionist, America's black people over two dopes outside a polling place in Philadelphia, and the Muslim World over Osama Bin Laden.
