Apparently he's reneging on his statement according to Entertainment Tonight.

No, he's not. He's thanking everyone for making him rich.

“With Angus’s Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed,” Sheen said.

$350k per episode for a no talent can make one change their mind
He's also apparently being "punished" by being left out of the next two episodes. That's a $700,000 spanking.

Well, that apology was obviously written by his agent or publicist. I'm sure when this broke they saw good easy money going out the window. Since Angus T. Jones has been in Two and a Half Men since the age of ten, I don't think he has experienced the cruel, harsh world out there and doesn't realize that he is probably set for life if he doesn't screw it up.
There's so little on TV with any remedial value anymore.

Tim
Kid sounds kinda dopey to me.

In his defense, however, I think we need to acknowledge that he was just 9 years old when the show began. He wasn't an adult, and likely didn't really appreciate what sorts of material he was wading into. Now an adult, he sees the world differently. I can understand how a religious awakening might cause him to regret youthful choices.

We'll know how he truly feels when we see him give all that "filthy" money to charity. Heck, he's just 19, he's got his whole life ahead of him.
If he feels deeply committed to this church, he may have tithed a chunk to them. Down the road he could be looking for a job in Hollywood. They hate having the feeding hand bitten.

It's one thing for an adult to throw his future away, but a 19 year old kid, this could turn out bad for him.

C. Sheen had a resume before he dumped on the creator of 3.5 men, that's all this kid has. Ooops, I hope this church is still there for him in 20 years when the world has long forgotten him.
