Is Stations really letting loose their slots

So I finally decided to give Stations another shot and see if all the hype really is anything. Saturday the wife and I went to Red Rock. We were there for about 3 hours. Here was our experience. I first sat down at a penny slot machine 40 cents a spin. It was a machine I really like and have had good luck on numerous times on the strip. I put in a hundy and started playing. The first tweny was gone in maybe ten minutes. Then my machine started beeping. It told me to push a button, and when I did I was awarded 5 dollars. This is apparently that random bonus thing. I proceeded to play down to 60 bucks left in the machine. I was at the machine for maybe a half hour or so. The bad thing, no cocktail waitress spotted the entire time. This was one of my big complaints from previous visits. I finally had enough and went to Rocks lounge and received prompt service from the bartender. I had a couple of beers and played on my 60 bucks. I did notice a bit of an upgrade in the paytables at the bar. Not bad. I actually left with a little over 60 dollars. I went back to the floor and played two more penny slots with as bad a result as the first time. I did however get cocktail service at one of those two machines. On the last penny slot, no wins, no beers, meant I'm going back to Rocks once again. I played at Rocks for the remainder of the time. In the end in about 3 hours I lost 250 bucks. The wife however won 200 bucks all at the bar. She couln't get anything on the slots either. So has stations loosened the slots. My impression is no. I do think they upgraded the paytables on some of the video poker and that is good. Oh the other thing I was a little disapointed in was that I lost all of my prior points on my players card. When I went to do the swipe and win I was told I had to get 500 points on my card first. My wife's points were gone also. Neither one of us had been notified that the points were going to expire. Oh well. I ended up with about 2000 points on my card. Sue Casey can u tell me what the 2000 points are good for?
My last trip in April consisted of 2 nights at RR and 3 at NYNY (both comped.) I usually have good results at Stations but my only winning session this time was while I waited for our suite. I don't usually have much luck at MGM props and don't stay at them very often anymore. However, THIS trip I couldn't lose at NYNY or MGM and came home w/a profit of about $1000 after all expenses. Everything I touched at those 2 props gave me $$$. Ya never know!
so what were the paytables at red rock?
So I take it they found someone and rounded up all those pesky slots?????

They did "loosen" a bunch of slots at each casino. Not all of them, though. But even if you played on one of those, that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to win, lol.

Points expire if there is no activity on your account for 13 months.

You do NOT need to have points to do the swipe and win. If the "swipe" icon did not show up (in the upper righthand corner of the menu screen) when you went to the kiosk, you should have gone to the rewards center, where they can activate you for the swipe. This sometimes happens with out-of-towners. I'm not sure what you were reading that said you needed 500 points, but it may have been where it tells you that you need 500 points to move up to Gold level. This would show up if you chose "account details" on the menu.

2,000 points is not worth much -- some restaurants are 600 points = $1, while others are 1,000 points = $1.
Well first off I am local so it was not an out of towner thing.
I realize casino's expire points after a certain amount of time and if I would have been sent a notice I would have at least stopped in and played enough to keep them active but I wasn't notified.

You are right Sue, I recall on the kiosk it said 500 points needed for Gold. That is what I saw. Thanks for the update on point value as well.
The paytables at Rocks Lounge that I noticed were 8 5 BP, 9 5 DDB, and I recall the deuces weren't terrible. Those are the only ones I played so I don't know further. They also had a progressive on the royal that applied to all of the games. So same progressive no matter which game u played.

I'm also not saying I concluded anything about the slots based on playing 3 machines for a few hours. But it did seem that I didn't get much play on my money on any of them. I don't know why but it seems most times on the strip I can get some play on say a twenty, yet in the locals it seems you have to pump in lots of twenty's and you might get a significant return. Just sayin.
Sue I understand that as someone who works for Stations you would be loyal to them but just because they said that the loosened the slots does not necessarily mean that they did. Las Vegas Club stated the same thing as well as Southpoint but I not sure I believe that either. I think it is more a marketing tool to get people in the casinos. Plus all the strip casinos say they have the loosest slots but no one believes that. lol
They loosened SOME slots -- not all, not even the majority. We got a memo on this from management, listing the machines that were affected. It has nothing to do with my being loyal -- it's the truth.

Anyway that we can get a copy of the list? I will throw you some money if I win big!

I like how Vegas Club has put signs on top of the banks of slots saying that "this bank of slots have been loosened by 40% or more" or something to that effect. There were quite a few banks of slots with those signs on them. I think it is a good move to give people more playing time. The casino will get their money sooner or later unless the machines are so tight that people just give up and go home.
