Is trump turning into Jimmy Carter?

Trumpcare in deep shit.
His travel ban struck down a second time.
Infrastructure Bill pushed off for the year.
Tax reform not even being discussed.
I won't even bring up his ludicrous accusations against his predecessor,
or the possible investigation into he and cronies.
I can't wait for his budget to show up, dead on arrival.

Not even close. Jimmy Carter was the weakest president ever.
Is billryan turning into Nancy Pelosi?
Cliff came to that conclusion back in November

Trumpcare in deep shit. - ALL BILLS GET NEGOTIATED FROM THEIR ORGINAL CONTENT

His travel ban struck down a second time. - STRUCK DOWN BY AN OBAMA LACKEY; NO SHOCK THERE

Infrastructure Bill pushed off for the year. - HAVEN'T SEEN THAT

Tax reform not even being discussed. - STILL ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS YEAR

or the possible investigation into he and cronies. - CLIFF IS STILL ON THE RUSSIA THING; AFTER 5 MONTHS, NOT ONE PIECE OF EVIDENCE

I can't wait for his budget to show up, dead on arrival. - ONLY IN YOUR MIND

When I see mortgage rates at 18% and Trump wearing a sweater and having a fire side chat telling me to turn down my thermostat due to energy/oil shortage, I'll make the comparison. Carter is a real nice man, but a horrible president. Indecision was his problem. Trump does not have that issue.
It always amuses me how people who identify with "Libertarian-small government" ideology blast Jimmy Carter's weak presidency. He is the only president in the last 100 years to truly implement a record of passive United States foreign policy. People who say the US should not be the 911 of the world should look to his term to see what that looks like..and if you don't like it then you are not a libertarian when it comes to foreign policy.

What's 40 years of playing cops-n-robbers in the Middle East yielded us....especially considering the price tag? The chicken hawks have spent trillions of dollars to pump up their testosterone levels showing America's military might...and paying off dictators in fanatical-religious states to be our ally. And We have as many (if not more) enemies now than 1980. Its benefited no one except shareholders of Raytheon.

I'd vote for Jimmy Carter in a heartbeat today.

pj would have preferred a continuation of carter's wimpy foreign policy & the end result would have been the destruction of the only democracy in the Middle East & a Middle East dominated by Iraq & Iran or maybe just one after they got done fighting each other.

pj would have preferred a military that was no longer up to standards either in technology, equipment or manpower

And that would be a good result?
I'm laughing at PJ's post. While the Iranians claim it was only coincidence that they were releasing the hostages while Reagan was being sworn in at the same moment, it was pretty obvious that they realized that Reagan was going to be no Carter. Carter was the worst president in modern times.
Actually, Obama is the worst President of ALL time, Carter is a distant second.

The United States chose the winner of the Iraq / Iran war. Its made a huge difference in peace in the region, hasn't it?

I've never said I don't want a military that's no longer up to standards in technology, equipment, or manpower. Our country currently spends multiples more on all of those fronts than the next 100 countries combined. I do take issue with that....but mostly I take issue with intervention around the globe in affairs I would argue are not our concern.

Hoops is free to disagree and continue to pretend he is a small government conservative while simultaneously cheering for the 600 billion/year military complex....and demanding we referee conflicts on the other side of the globe. You just might want to get off that whole "small government" bullshit you're always preaching. The programs you support cause much bigger deficts than food stamps.
