It's official. Moving to Vegas

Congrats! Moving here was the best decision we have ever made. You will never be bored, just tired if you get out a lot.
Congratulations. Just never turn into one of those locals who brags, "I never go to the Strip (or downtown)."

Now some dog-centric stuff. There are some great trails in Henderson that even the locals don't know about. If you're anywhere near the Whitney Mesa Nature Preserve, they have miles of trails with everything from steep inclines and near rock scrambling to wheelchair accessible, depending upon the condition your condition is in.

And since both breeds of your dog are great swimmers, you might want to go to Boulder Beach on Lake Mead which is only about a half hour away. But it's muddy, and your dog may come home smelling like motor oil. I'd recommend driving an extra fifteen minutes to Willow Beach, AZ, for pristine water. And since the water temperature is about 56 degrees year round, it's great even on a mid-August morning.
No hugs, lots of screaming, no "Kick the Can" or "Hide and Seek" during your formative years? That doesn't excuse your hatred, but it might explain it.

Did you start with killing small animals?

How about trying this again.....and start with....."congratulations with the move and I hope it'll bring you everything you're hoping for".

I understand why your mutt doesn't like being in the car........considering the company, yeez.

@Billy, a move to Vegas, wow! You must me so excited (I know I would be). Sounds like you're moving to a wonderful area and community. I wish you the best of luck!

Billyryan, please excuse Boilerman for having no manners. Since you made some posts in other threads that contradict Boiler's beliefs he cannot find the decency to be cordial. Please don't blame him, he's extremely bitter. Nevertheless, enjoy everything Vegas has to offer and "do Vegas properly".

A big congrats on your upcoming move. $1075/month all inclusive sounds very good.
Your dog will handle the trip fine. Dogs usually are very good passengers.
We've made trips in a small vehicle from PA to NV with 3 cats with no problems. The motels even left a light on for our arrivals.

What kind of sports car?

Edit: Somebody ought to book those two a room.
How exciting!!! Congrats on finding just what you want at a good price.

Your vet may have some travel suggestions to give your pup a peaceful trip.

The vet may prescribe some doggie downers. Reduces anxiety for those long trips and slows the digestion.
Every 2 hours is a good idea for YOU,too.
May,2016. It's gonna be warm in Henderson. Water for you, too.
If you drive at night, watch out for critters on the road!

DonDiego congratulates billryan on his anticipated move to "The City of Schools and Churches", or at least nearby. He wishes him all the best !

One of our pups doesn't travel very well and our vet did the same, gave us some doggie downers. She's a pretty good traveler nowadays.
I know a great consultant on this matter...
