There's no need to try Boilerbaby. I consider it a blessing to be hated by a girl like you.

Fifty of Boiler's friends played LL baseball.................twenty of which I've visited with within the past month. Are you Libs always this angry?

The league doesn't seem to deny that they cheated

That's stand up comedy right there......
Oh yes, like Boiler almost all of my friends were fortunate to have lived with their fathers. Boiler believes that every man who sires a child should raise that child.

The surrounding leagues participated in the violation.

Boiler not only played Little League Baseball, high school baseball, and Division One College baseball, he coached Little League for many years in both Ohio and Indiana. The rules are simple and clear regarding league geography, or more accurately player volume, and the Robinson Little League violated those rules.

1) The neighboring leagues allowed JR gerrymandering the borders to get all the good players or
2) the neighboring leagues gerrymandered JR so it got all the minority players.
Since BM is such an expert on Little League, how about he define the boundaries of his local league. He expects every ten year old and their parents, excluding the unknown fathers, to know their boundaries. Surely he is as knowledgeable as a minority ten year old.

How did Jackie Robinson violate the boundaries without every league who boundaries were abused not objecting?
Either the entire Region cheated or no one did.

Getting back to the subject at hand, this lawsuit will fail.

They JRW LL cheated, and got caught. It's not the fault of the kids on that team it's the fault of their parents, coaches, and their LL officials.
The kids just want to play baseball, the gerrymandering of districts was not the fault of the kids. If the 12 year old kid asks the parent if bringing in players from the outside is legal and the parent says "yes it is" the kid at that age isn't going to question the parent any further.

I know a lot of info on this issue because my nephew and his team, played the first game of the LLWS against the team from the Chicago area, and have followed it closely since.

I knew BEFORE a game was played there was potentially shade stuff going on with that team as my brother called me and said there were strong rumors swirling Williamsport that the JRW team was using illegal out of district players. Again that was before one pitch was thrown.

Little League was extremely slow to act on this as the inner city program was their "pride and joy" but should have been handled before. Another reason why it was looked into quicker is that JRW LL had a bogus boundary map they showed LL officials when questioned.

The adults always seem to ruin things for the kids.

I feel real bad for the team that "should have been there", the 2nd place team from the Great Lakes region who didn't get to experience the LLWS experience.

I feel real bad for the kids from Vegas that didn't get to celebrate their US championship on the field and didn't get a chance to play in the LLWS championship game.

I feel bad that my nephew's team got beat by an illegal team in the first game they played.

I feel bad for the JRW little league players on that team who's team's accomplishments will always be tarnished because of a group of self serving adults that will do anything to win, even cheat.

My nephew still talks very fondly of the experience of playing in the LLWS on national TV and how they were treating like kings, and how he met a lot of really cool kids from across the country and world, it's just too bad this whole situation takes a little shine off it for him.

Again, the parents and adults of JRW LL are to blame for this situation, and their lawsuits have no leg to stand on.

The other leagues did say something as their best players were being poached by JRW LL, some were complaining about it from the get go. LL requested info and a boundary map from JRW LL and they produced a bogus map that LL thought was real, and LL went on their way. The other leagues kept complaining to LL and then they looked at the legit maps and saw the boundary infractions.

ESPN did a special on this about 6 months ago. You can probably Google most of what I just posted.
