Japan hit by an 8.8 earthquake

Wow! Powerful! I would post links, but, it is all so new and sudden. Tsunami warnings and all, who knows how high the tolls will go. An 8.8 quake. More powerful than any here in the US. This happened mid afternoon in Japan. Many already at work so not many on the road. The numbers may change, since it just happened. But, it was a shallow quake which means more devastation no matter how great.

Cars and boats being washed away by Tsunami. 6.8 aftershock minutes after initial quake. CNN is on it.

A tsunami warning is in effect for Hawaii. It is supposed to hit at 3:00AM your time. Seek higher ground ASAP I.E. NOW!!!

Wow, the news footage of the tidal wave engulfing the land in Japan is devasting. So many lives must have been lost just by the water alone, let alone the effects of the earthquake, gawd.

Please rescue me!

Travel advisory issued for Japan, meaning don't you be a going because stuff is screwed up. This is in place until April 1st.

A side note: all of the monsters on monster island are safe, Godzilla is asleep off the coast of southern Japan. Mothra is being used for search and rescue, mainly search as he is just too damn big to do anything in the city.
