The Bourne character is quite compelling and I like watching him do his thing. Although my favorite spy of all time is Bond, James Bond.

I kinda feel the same way,BUT,I also said the same thing when sean connery quit doing bond and roger moore stepped in. I thought no way!,bond movies will never be the same. But not only did he do very well he did great imo.
Big difference tho is fleming wrote a ton af bond books,ludlum,not so many. I think a good writer could run with it tho. We'll see.
I have to say tho,all subsequent bond actors after moore and connery sucked. I quit watching them after moore quit. I've only seen one or two,and slept through them i think.

They should call the next one "The Bourne 2-Hour Car Chase"...or was that the title of the first one? Or the second one? Or third?

I think I'll skip #4. I'm pretty sure I already know the plot... and how it will end.

I have read the Bourne books by Ludlum. Although jatki is generally correct that book-based movies tend to be not as good as the book itself, in this case I think the Bourne movies, IMHO, are much more entertaining than the books.

I beleive Paul Greengrass did the last two, but I don't remember who directed the first one.

A lot of people complained about the way Greengrass kept the camera moving all the time while filming, even saying it made them dizzy. I liked it, it worked for me.
