Just as I expected, Liberal MarcisLurkerPoster doesn't understand the problem. If the herd numbers are not lowered, thousands of deer will starve to death this winter. Starvation deaths, that's how we decide how many deer is too many deer.

Now, do you want them to die quickly with a bullet, or do you prefer that they die from starvation?

I understand perfectly BoilerMilled. Funny how these things happen now but somehow didn't happen before mankind started to completely disrespect and destroy nature. You must be so thrilled to be able to play with your guns (or at least your son)....and for such a noble cause.

Well mr. lurker, there is only one solution for all the problems you bemoan about, lower human population numbers. If you really want to help I suggest you be a good example and start lowering the population numbers with yourself. Otherwise you are just part of the problem.

What do guns have to do with a lack of habitat for deer. The fact is, however, is that if there is no hunt this year thousands of deer will starve. Now, MarcisLurkerPoster, what is your solution if you are against hunting?

There's no Utopian answer, and such situations stump the Liberal.

Lurker probably thinks a hunter walks into the woods and a few minutes later walks out with a deer. It is very difficult to shoot a deer & the entire process is regulated including how many deer one can kill in a season & the size of the deer. It is based on on what the wildlife service determines is needed to reduce overpopulation.

Deer used to have natural predators which are no long around in any significant numbers. If the local area had to many deer, they would starve.

What is the difference between hunting/fishing for food and shopping for it?

It's a big herd this year, so it'll be a big hunt this year. My son can take 10 deer this season in our county alone, although I doubt that he will take more than 2.

MarcisLurkerPoster has no idea about hunting, and it's quite apparent that he doesn't understand the need for a hunt in semi-urban areas. Liberals complain as it doesn't fit their Utopian view of Bambi, yet they don't offer a viable solution.

Actually I believe he was registered as an "Independent" His father claims he could not wait "to vote for Hillary Clinton".
If he did in fact "claim" to be conservative/republican, that is one damn crazy way to prove it.

Most conservatives don't go around looking to shoot Christians in the head.
