Jerry Falwell, Jr., Liberty University President, Calls For Arming Students On Campus

I know this type of argument drives the left up the wall but I think it would absolutely help in the case of any type of mass shooting or terrorists attack. Would the chances of more people or less people injured or killed during an attack if the audience is mostly armed(and trained)? I would venture to guess it would be less, much less.

I got into a discussion with one of my ultra left neighbors back when I was looking into a pistol for my wife. He thinks ANYBODY who keeps firearms in the home is completely insane.

My favorite argument from him was "what good does a gun do you if an intruder shoots you dead when you open the door?" Well, that's a huge warning to my wife and son that there's some bad people here and they are here to kill everyone. My response was "my wife and son can now arm themselves and have a fighting chance" , not just sitting, waiting to be victims. He couldn't see the logic and he's a really smart guy too, career navy man, retired a Capt, served in Vietnam.
I believe his reasoning was they would be frozen in fear. I tried to explain I would rather she and my son had a fighting chance at the very least, nit just sitting targets. Make sense?

For some reason, I think the crime rate, including shootings and rapes, is lower at Liberty University than most other universities in the United States. The tuition is also lower than most private (and many public Universities).....go figure
