Jet Blue 20% Discounts

Last week I purchased my flight tickets for my upcoming Vegas trip in September. I fly out of Boston and JetBlue is the only carrier that had direct flights, so I bought one for my wife and one for me.

Last year I lucked out and received a 20% email discount CODE directly from JEtBlue literally the day before I was planning to buy the tickets. Needless to say the timing was perfect.

This year I searched high and low to find a way to get discounts on the tickets and after searching for a couple of hours with no luck decided that I better pull the trigger before the price goes up or the flight gets sold out of good seats.

Well this year, the opposite was true: the day AFTER I bought the tickets I walk into Dunkin Donuts to buy a coffee and as I'm sitting there drinking the coffee, I see a large poster on the wall, "Get 20% of JetBlue Flights". I read the small print and all it took was to buy a pound of coffee or a box of K-Cups at DD for about $10 (and we use DD coffee at home, so it would not go to waste).

I wish I never saw it as it was too late to cancel and rebook. BUT if anyone is looking for a flight and Jetblue is a
carrier option and you have a DD nearby, you may want to look into it. It would have saved me just over $200.

Delta flies that route nonstop as well.

I couldn't find any direct/non-stop flight offered by Delta from Boston to Las Vegas or Las Vegas to Boston on the days I needed in September. I just looked again randomly in September on other dates and I couldn't see any direct flights through Delta in a number of random days in September.

I did find some in August. But after August none in a random sample in September. Perhaps they temporarily stopped that flight. It looked like it was a redeye, which I don't mind doing going home, but not on the way there.

No worries. Delta flies it on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

You know what, I think you're right. Delta flies that schedule through August, but not in September, my bad.

Good to know for future use, however, FYI mysteriously no direct flights are available from BOS to LAS or LAS to BOS on Delta any Thursday, Friday. or Sunday during the entire month of September. They do show up in August and then return in October?

Just booked a trip on JetBlue from JFK-Savannah with dunkin code, it really worked.
