Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville

I'm a Jimmy Buffett fan but not much of a Margaritaville fan. I don't like to wait in line for the chance to pay too much for average food.

I agree 100%. And the margaritas aren't that great.

Ditto. and ditto.
Once was enough.

Drinks are overpriced.

You can bypass the 1 to 2 hour wait at the hostess stand by going straight to the third floor via the escalator by the gift shop. They have a different hostess stand there with a different waiting list. There are 2 bars up there and patio seating with a good view overlooking the strip. The wait time will be much shorter.
We generally make a stop at Margaritaville every Vegas trip. We like to sit in the main dining room's bar. There are usually a couple of seats open.

Volcanic nachos are always on the list. We split them and that is our lunch or a late night snack.

I also recommend the Lone Palm amber beer, very yummy and only available at the restaurants. It's on draft.

Joy

Food: Average, besides nachos, not much of a Mexican variety.
Atmosphere: Hopping, lots of good tunes, vibrant conversation.
People watching: Great, right next to the sidewalk you can see the best variety the LV strip has to offer.
Prices: Quite pricey, margs are average, nothing special, consistent with strip pricing.
Waits: Have your party gathered and some times of the day it's a two drink wait. (Stop by Casino Royal and grab a buck margarita or two and then head over.)
Suggestion: Try it once and you can say been there, done there.

I am in this camp but I do like the gift shop.
The 2nd or 3rd floor (???) has an outdoor patio with a nice view of Caesars.
You can see the umbrellas up there from the Strip.

Be careful of their "Perfect Margarita" ....... very strong !!!!

After a few sips, I asked what was in it. It's all Tequilla with a splash of lime juice.

I asked for another glass of lime juice, and mixed myself a "second" drink.

Rick
We go there every trip. Either sit on the patio or at the bar. The patio is the best. The wait times are usually a lot less up there too. We enjoy the food, the drinks are a little on the high side, but I think they are good.
