Jonas is coming . . .

Well, we're not gonna starve by any means, just made about 4 lbs of hoagie meat. If the power fails, we always have the kettle grill. Only b*tch about being outta water(even tho one fills the bathtubs) is with plenty of food, comes plenty of ..well..ya know. Have to be able to flush.

I have the prime strips and a couple more lbs of hoagie meat if things get really desperate. I have no thought whatsoever things will be dire but for a few days.

Is hoagie meat racist? Or maybe I have this confused with crackers and honky meat.
So he made it out of the whale's belly? Good for him.

Oh, wait, that was Jonah.

Yeah, that storm (they name storms now...silly) is even trying to nail us tonight/tomorrow (central AR).

I've been waiting for this since I retired...no drive to work over ice/snow.
Sleep in, fix some hot chocolate, doze, read the paper, doze, TV, doze, etc. Ahh.

Now, if only the power will stay on. Yikes!
DonDiego concurs with O2bnVegas's attitude to the storm, . . . cep'tin' substitution' coffee for hot chocolate.

And his chief concern is also that the electric power not be interrupted; he supposes up heh' in the hills power loss would likely be spotty and restored rather quickly, . . . whereas around densely-populated DC some folks might be in for a long wait for repairs.

We had some friends who live less than two miles from us and they lost power for two weeks one time. I think it was Sandy, could be mistaken. We're very fortunate in our neighborhood, the most we've ever lost power is about six hours (knock on wood here). Our utilities are buried and the substation is only a mile away, as I said, very fortunate. When a home is on well and septic, it really bites to lose power for any length of time.

Don Diego better get the Irish whiskey and the snow shovel out (but not in that order) because he has a lot of work coming his way.
Just arrived home from the store and while there I bought 12 gallons of milk, 6 dozen eggs, a 60 pack each of batteries(D,C, AA, & AAA), 16 loaves of bread, 48 rolls of toilet paper, plus other odds and ends. I really wasn't planning on buying that much, but so many were so I said "" I'm a follower, not a leader.

Bring it on, bring it on baby.

UPDATE UPDATE:

DonDiego is likely to enter the DonDiego Bunker of Doom in anticipation of the arrival of Jonas. He recommends those in the path of the storm keep a close eye on their local weather-person:
