Not if you use common sense and good reading comprehension.

Cops can't do their job effectively if a camera is watching them?
Spend two seconds understanding the absurdity of that position.

There is a wide range of problems causing the mess in Chicago - one is the residents don't trust the police to enforce laws fairly...and Garry McCarthy agrees hence his position on police monitoring.

Really? Please edjumacate me.
First part of the post talks about how this is happening because cops being discouraged and afraid of doing their jobs.
Second part says that the solution isn't with the cops anyway.

Splain to me how those don't contradict each other.

pj - the problem isn't with camers; it is with the way the cops are treated every time there is a perceived incident. Look at all the ruined lives of policemen , who were put thru the ringer, only to be found innocent.

billy once again shows his poor reading skills. McCarthy is saying that liberals expect that by tying the police hands, all problems will be solved, but the problems are deeper than the police. See above line about why people don't want to be police officers.
Police are the victims in incidents where unarmed people are shot? Yeah - this kind of mentality is part of the problem.

People who classify the "Black Lives Matter" movement as a hate group likely wont be building any bridges to confront this issue thoughtfully.

I suggest pj research the news. In Ferguson, NY, Charlotte & Baltimore for example - all high profile incidents, where a black criminal was killed, supposedly by the police brutality. Riots ensued, police lost their jobs , but were found innocent. How about all the incidents were policemen were assassinated
And the Ferguson investigation revealed a police culture rampant with purposeful targeting and shakedowns of the black community. But I'm sure we can cherry pick incidents all day long and find plenty of anecdotes on both sides. I'm bored with it already. The perception of police abuse is well understood throughout these communities by the people who live there.

White, Republican men would be wise to listen more and talk less on topics they have no understanding of....like women's health and inner city crime.
Automatic 10 years for felons in possession of a gun. Life for using a gun in the commission of crime. It may take a couple of years, but eventually the criminals will get the message...when their homies are in prison instead of getting wrist slaps for illegal firearm possession.
No, the good black people in the hood are victims when cops are reluctant to strongarm the bad guys. When that happens, the punks are in charge the the neighborhood goes from bad to far worse. Chicago South Side.............case in point. The punks now run the show there.
