Just booked Vegas. Offer 2 good to say no

When I was in Vegas last May on a guys trip I was was approached by a MGM host. I never had a host before and was given tickets to a show. I have always used Harrahs and this was the first time in a MGM Property.

Well I check the mail box and I received an offer from MGM that was incredible and to good to say no. Wife and I were not planning any trips to Vegas this year since we just installed an in ground pool and that was expensive. Plus the last time we were in Vegas togather we received a call on our first night of a five night trip that her father had died and we flew back home the next morning. Since then my wife does not want to return to Vegas and has no problem with me doing my yearly boys trip in May.

Now to the offer 3 nights in a suite, a fly back offer , 400.00 free play and a 300.00 food and beverage credit Plus he gave me two tickets to a headliner I had asked him about. Wife gave me the OK and we booked with airline points and we are now all set for a three night long weekend in style this March. I hope my host will be happy with my play but I know it will not be close to by play on my last trip

A few questions How is the weather in Vegas at the end of March Plus will my host let me know if Im not gambling enough or will the offers just stop. Any feed back with dealing with a host will be helpful.
The weather should be nice around 75 degrees. I'm also going to be there in march taking my mom for her Birthday! It's June, July and August which are the hot months! I would assume if you don't play up to the expectations of the casino host you're offers will probably just be reduced a little. You should still get good offer through the mailing list. It all depends on the casino and your play.
That's a nice offer. Agree with kev, your host probably won't hassle you, but the next offers may not be as robust. Who cares, right? You paid for this one on the last trip. Enjoy the bounty and don't worry about the future.
o2bnVegas is correct, you have already paid for this forthcoming stay. You owe them and your "new" host nothing but for you to have a good time. Don't worry about what might be offered in the future- just enjoy the "now".

Thanks for your input

Yes I defently lost enough on the May trip to pay for this one. A quick question, should I bring the host a present or give him a card with some cash. Like I said before, this is a first for me. I an a little up tight about excepting the offer. Thanks for the weather info. I was not sure if it was shorts or pants weather.
Sure, you can offer your host a small gift. A box of golf balls, a nice necktie or scarf ... that sort of thing.

Max Rubin talks about this topic in detail in his very entertaining book 'Comp City.'

Have a great trip!
