Why does forky believe that rich peoples' money and estate belong to the govt?

Forky is too clueless to recognize that people's cost of living (house, clothing, groceries, car, etc.) and the taxes associated with them (property and sales tax) are always going to make up a greater % of what the poor make compared to the rich. He just isn't bright enough to understand that it is an apples an oranges thing. He then also proved he doesn't know a thing about estates.

I don't. I'm just pointing out that for example in Alaska's case, the government takes 7% of poor people's income, and only 2% of the income from the wealthiest. As long as you don't deny that, we can agree to disagree on whether that should be the American way.

Hilarious! Forky arguing with a high end Ca. CPA about taxes. Please keep going.

Which just means that our state sales taxes and property taxes are too high relative to our state income taxes......IF you think that the super-wealthy should pay the same overall tax rate as the middle class. I get that you disagree with that goal.

But when for example poor Alaskans pay 7% of their income in state and local taxes, while the superwealthy only pay 2.5%, don't tell me the game isn't rigged.

Again. You are either being disingenuous or you just don't get it. You also forgot to add in the lottery. More poor people play the lottery than the rich, and it has been nicknamed "the poor man's tax". Should we do something about the lottery? Here you sit in Nevada paying no income tax. Talk about being a hypocrite.

Why does hoops think that the government deserves more of the poor peoples money than the rich?
As a boy, I remember reading a story. The hero took money from the rich and gave it to the poor. The Villains were taking money from the poor and using it to help the rich. Remember it? So, a simple question. When you were a bright lad with a bright future in front of you, did you support Robin Hood or were you a Sheriff of Nottingham fan.

Billy is confused, very confused.

If it's Tuesday it must be Arizona!

Arizonans making less than $22,000 pay an overall state and local tax rate 176% to 255% higher than the wealthy pay in Massachusetts. You know, Taxachusetts!

And adjusting Arizona income, property, and sales tax rates to make things fairer and flatter would be impossible, right?

So the top bracket is paying more than $20k in taxes & the bottom guy is about $2k. The top guy is is spending significantly more $ & contributing to the jobs of the people on the lower end.

Looks like a win for all!
