Kasich eats pizza with a fork.

For the humor impaired, let me explain why a picture of "someone else," say, me, eating pizza with a fork or sweating after eating isn't as funny as politician trying to fit in as an ordinary Joe.

Hillary fumbling around at the subway when she tried come across as a commoner, Kasich sweating after eating an extraordinary amount of food are funny examples to some of us.

Maybe the best faux pas in this category occurred in 1972. While campaigning with Presidential candidate George McGovern in Youngstown, Ohio in 1972, running mate Sargent Shriver invited steel mill workers for drinks at a nearby bar. After ordering beers for all his guests, Shriver displayed his strong connection to the working class, proclaiming, “Make mine a Courvoisier!”

Me going into a bar and asking for Courvoisier probably isn't as humorous.

That is a Cliffnotes version of the anatomy of humor.

If it were just about humor, Mushy and PJ would and could post another well circulated picture of someone else eating pizza with a fork, or sweating while in a hot room while eating Italian food.

I'll wait for your examples.

No one made that point. It's called humor.

I would like to continue talking about why Kisich eating pizza with a fork, and his sweating in a hot room while eating Italian food proves that he's unfit to become president.

A picture of you sweating after eating would crack me up.

I think most can agree what a great thing humor and laughter is, main ingredient to a good life I think.

Careful. That question could easily be misinterpreted.

My point has been made.

Stop right there; the state income tax is not the only tax people pay. And including all state and local taxes, the wealthy in California pay the same rate that the middle class does in Texas.

I guess they should call Texas the "soak the middle class" state.

Hey genius. Texas doesn't have any individual state income taxes.
No shit.

But a family with a $45,000 income will typically pay a total of 8.1% of their income in sales and excise and property taxes. The top 1% in Texas pay 2.9% of their income in total state and local taxes. And neither of those numbers include a non-existent income tax (duh!).

How about we talk actual dollars since it's difficult to spend and eat a percentage? How many dollars are we talking here, Forkie? How much does the mean average top 1% guy pay in dollars, and how much does the median average guy pay in dollars?
