keno paytables (pictures)

Any keno experts out there? These were some keno paytables (bad, good, and best) that I encountered in one Las Vegas casino. All were based on 25 cents (one coin bet) with eight numbers. Are there other casinos that have better paytables? Progressives, etc?

My calculations suggest that the house advantages on these paytables are, in order, 11.80%, 7.69%, and 5.10%.

Not bad for video keno, though the increased speed of the game compared to live keno will still get the casino its money.

Hmm . . . mathematically and grammatically correct on your first post.

Who you is?
That was an alley- oop to LeBron James.

I am a long-time reader and first time poster who has recently published a textbook on gambling mathematics. That may explain both the grammar and the math.
Got it. Thank you, and welcome.

Edit: By the way, we'd like to hear about the book.

Certainly. The book is called Basic Gambling Mathematics: The Numbers Behind The Neon. It's an elementary (algebra and arithmetic only--no calculus) textbook on probability applied to gambling that includes all of the major games, some variations on classic games, and a look at gambling systems and why they don't work. There's a fair amount of keno computation in there, which drew me to the original post.
I was in Vegas earlier this year and looked at quite a few 25-cent video keno paytables. The best I found was the 5.1% house advantage in your final photo.

the payouts on the slots in Vegas seem to be horrible these days, making 5.1% sound pretty good. maybe I should switch to video keno. is that 5.1 paytable fairly common? I have a friend that plays video keno 95 % of the time, u cant pull him away from it. I have seen him hit $4700.00 twice on the same machine on the same day, but I know he has lost a lot more.
question... since a lot of these are on multi game machines that may include video poker, are they set to earn less points on your players card benefits?
