Killing time in the morning question???

Hi All!
Staying at GVR (as always and always) the first part of November. We are from Texas and get up with the roosters. We don't really like gambling at GVR early in the morning, as we have never hit on anything before around 2:00 there. So, since we are stuck way out there (though we do have a limo to take us places-he's kind of a friend) we were wondering what there is to do early early in the morning?
Thought about the show at GVR but most of them don't start until like 11:00.

Thanks! (And look for us to post our Royal on the board after this trip)! We mean it too!!!!
How about the early horse back ride at Red Rock. (not the resort)

*I tried to add the link but I am on my phone and it's not cooperating.
Lol
Just Google Red Rock Vegas Trail Rides.
They have one that goes out at 800am and rides the canyon rim.
I have done the sunset with BBQ ride and it is fun.
do they have some sort of fitness center or gym at GVR?

GVR has a REALLY nice spa/fitness center!!!

It opens at 6:00 AM, and provides juices and granola, at no charge.

There are a couple of hot tubs and pools to choose from.

Also, in the hotel lobby, coffee and newspapers are available, too.

Enjoy!!!

Ok, the horseback thing is a terrific idea, however, we would probably meet UpChuck Chuck on that deal, if ya know what I mean!

Our bartenders are ALWAYS trying to get us to go do something in the spa, yet my hubby refuses! I don't know what it is with him. After 10 plus stays there, last time I at least got him to go in there. That lasted about 3 seconds and then we were walking! He's kinda poopy when it comes to spa thingies!
Morning is a great time to walk Fremont St and go souvenier shopping (maybe a little far from GVR). Maybe head over to Water St in DOwntown Henderson ... get some coffee at the El Dorado and read the paper at the VP bar.
I didn't realize that Vegas had mornings.

I like to start my days slow with a frozen coffee drink and a paperback in a comfortable chair in a quiet corner.
There are two labyrinths not all that far from GV, if you have a car. One is in a churchyard in Boulder City to the southeast, and the other is at St Rose Hospital, to the west. At non-rush hour times, they are about 15-20 minutes by car. Walking one can be an interesting experiance.
well there is a pretty large outdoor mall right outside ( I assume you know the area well enough).

You can do some shopping and then eat lunch at the BBQ place that is there- super yummy or PF Changs for lunch, both of these are sit down and leisure lunches that can last 1 hour to 1 hour and 1/2.

They also have a Whole Foods there you can roam around...if you like "just looking" at foods and wines and such.

Is the pool still open? That is a good way to spend a morning if the weather is nice and they have a pretty nice pool.
are you connected at the hip?
If not, ditch the stubborn hubby in the room and make arraigments to use the Spa.
Good grief! You want to and its there.
