Killing time in the morning question???

Do either of you golf? You could go to the Callaway Golf Center and play the 9 hole Par 3 course. You can rent clubs and anything you should need. It is on the south end of the strip however. Not far if you take the interstate, get a cab if nothing else. This will use up a good portion of your morning.
Or a nice walk around the area, you should be getting your walk in before the "thugs" get out of bed!
Thanks for some more ideas guys! We definitely don't golf, but thanks! A girlfriend is also going with my hubby and I so we may do the spa thing, just us girls! Just one more thing, any of you that have been to GVR know they don't have much of a gift shop. I just heard about the biggest souvenier shop in Vegas, but they just said it was in North Las Vegas. Do ya know where it is and is it worth going to? Cause THAT might blow a little time. I need some new shot glasses anyway! Funny how those things get broken
I have friends that have been to that Gift Store, and described it as a "whole lotta junk" - they said they spent a bit of time there, but left emptyhanded - nothing worth putting money out for. That said, if you're looking to spend some time there on one of your early mornings, Google is your friend!

Thanks for the quick reply!
I had a feeling that was the kind of place it was. Guess I'll save the hotel the gas money to go check that place out. Maybe we'll just wander around downtown. That time difference kills us there since we get up at 4:30 here in Texas. We are wide awake at 2:30, hence the reason for the question to begin with.
(Not that we don't stay up a little late). Depends on how much we drank and if we can still see the vp buttons clearly enough to push them!

LOL! Of course you're wide awake at 2:30 - and that's as it should be in Vegas!!
I've hit some of my best wins around that time of the morning, so I'm pretty much ALWAYS wide awake then!
Good Luck!
Thanks! This will be a trip to "go get our money back, dammit!"
Pretty accurate info on the worlds largest gift shop. Its right across from sahara and next to strat, not north LV,just north strip.
Itis pretty much full of touristy "junk"/souveniers,it has just about anything you might want that says vegas on it if i remember right(been a few years). I dont think we bought anything either, but did spend an hour or so in there.

Spending a morning wandering around downtown could be just what you're looking for. Fremont Street is more sedate in the a.m. than in the evening. Some of the kiosks are pretty interesting, and I always try to budget some time to spend watching the spray can artists. Those guys do some amazing stuff! There is a large souvenir shop in the old Pioneer casino building. Also, you can find decent VP in most of the downtown casinos and they won't be as crowded as they would be later in the day.

Have fun!

A lot of the kiosks and artists don't open until around 4pm-5pm.

The Bonanza Gift Shop is worth the hour you'll kill walking around in there. It's all cheap junk. Perfect place to find a gift for the special someone.
Where are the spray paint artisits down there? I don't remember seeing them last time we went downtown. We will be there Tues. - Friday night and leaving Saturday. I bet they probably do that only on the weekend, dang it! I'd like to see that.
