Kudos to Silverton

I would like to take the opportunity to give praise to the Silverton with how they dealt with a recent situation for me.

Silverton is removing all player card points from the previous format as of the end of this year. My wife and I were going to Bass Pro anyway so I stopped at the player club to see if I had enough for a gift card for Bass Pro. I had enough for a $25 gift card. After I received that gift card the rep. told me I still had enough left for another gift card for $23 and some change which could be used anywhere else on property. I used the $25 gift card without a hitch.

The following week the wife wanted to do some more christmas shopping at Bass Pro, hell yeah I said. So we decided to use the other gift card at the Sundance Grill for breakfast. Meal came to $18+. I went to pay and the cashier could not get it to pay with the gift card. Called the manager and he had the same result. I explained how I got the gift card. He took me directly to the player club and inquired. They showed that I indeed did receive the gift card the week prior but the rep. must have done something wrong and it never got applied to the gift card.

This whole time I am just waiting for someone to say just pay the bill and wait for the gift card to get straightened out. But no, the manager took all of my information down and kept the gift card and said he would get back to me. Sure enough last night he called me at home and said the whole thing has been straightened out and asked where I wanted to pick up the remaining $5 on my gift card.

I just think this whole thing could have been handled in a lot of worse way's but was not. The manager was extremely diligent about getting things straightened out and he followed through. So Kudos to the Silverton and especially the morning manager of the Sundance Grill.
Must have been Jason. He's top notch. Actually both managers are great.
That is great to hear, thlf. I will have to try out the Silverton my trip to Las Vegas next year.

How refreshing to hear of a property trying to do the right thing, instead of trying to pimp you out of every cent. Good story!!

Being a non-Strip property, I've always felt that they were more flexible and didn't sweat things as much.

There are many times we go to Twin Creeks for dinner on a verbal comp and when it comes time to settle the bill, they might not be able to get hold of the host on duty. Instead of wasting our time or sweating it as if we're lying to them, they tell us "I'm sure it's ok" and deal with it post fact.

I can think of more than one place on the Strip that would have said that the card's not working and to go to the players club and sort it out or pay with cash and take it up with them later; as if it's your problem. Handled well by Silverton which is something that I've come to expect. Glad you had a good experience.
