The Fine Print

With this deal, you don’t have to decide yet when to go. Just purchase a voucher from Travelzoo and call the hotel directly at 866-716-8137 to make a reservation for your desired travel dates. Not available on: June 15-18, 28-29; July 4-7, 22-24, 26-29; Aug. 1-2, 12-15. A resort fee of $25 per night is not included. Reservations are subject to availability and early booking is encouraged. See below for full terms and conditions.

Daily resort fee seems pretty steep!
I did this last year, and took advantage of the 20 dollar upgrade:

Pros:

Very beautiful rooms (suites)
There is a great little village with shops and restaurants nearby

Cons:

It is around 25 miles from the Strip. It is a completely different kind of atmosphere than Las Vegas. If you are planning to stay there and head to the strip each day, it isn't very practical.

No restaurants on the property. You must either order at the bar or order room service.

The 2 cocktails are not for cocktails of your choice. It was for a cranberry flavored cocktail.

The casino at Lake Las Vegas has gone dealerless. They have installed blackjack, roulette, and craps games where the dealer is on the video screen and you sit down at your station. Many of these same games are in the big strip casinos. I personally hope that the powers to be never think these are going to completely replace dealers some day.

I didn't see a sports book, but I was told there was some place to be able to make sports bets at the casino.

Bottom line: If you are going there for the resort/spa experience, I would highly recommend it. This hotel used to be the Ritz Carlton. You are getting a room that would cost $400 to $500 per night in other cities.

If you are going there with the plans of mostly wanting to gamble, you don't want to do it. I don't remember being able to get comped drinks either, while I was playing.
