Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6 to 10 pm, stop in Casino MonteLago and pick up your score cards and then stroll the Village Shops & Restaurants tasting each establishment’s signature hand crafted summer cocktails.

Beginning at 7 pm, there is a free Music on The Lake performance by Turn The Page….a Bob Seger Tribute Band

My wife and I went out for the tasting. It was fun. We got a room at the Ravella and had a blast.

I surprised my wife with a babysitter, summertime cocktail tasting walk at Lake Las Vegas, some jewlery, an awesome suite with a balcony at Ravella (formerly The Ritz) over looking the lake and the village, a nice dinner, chocolate strawberries and champagne in the room, and massages at the Ravella Spa this morning. I love spoiling my wife. GOOD TIMES!

The last time I was there (which also happened to be the first time I was there), there were so few shops and restaurants open that I'd be surprised if you could catch a buzz from all the signature cocktails.

It was really unfortunate as you could see what was and might be again some day but for now (or at least then), it was just north of a ghost town.
