While I prefer the better blackjack odds, I always gamble at my "favorite places" regardless of the odds. Here's the math for me.
$25 average bet
The delta between the near worst to the near best odds is about 0.6%
I figure that I play 20 hands an hour
I play about 21 hours per trip
$25 X .6% X 20 hands per hour X 21 hours of play = $63 over the weekend
I'm spending $1000 for my flight and hotel alone, so I won't allow $63 worth of gambling odds to dictate my location. Of far greater concern is the cost to sit in a nice bar and have a half dozen drinks? While some will cost $100 for this, others will run only $30. I can burn through that $70 difference in 90 minutes, which may explain why I don't rent a car while in Vegas.
