Las Vegas Club/Loosening Slots?

All the machines in the back of the casino bear signs saying we have upped the payouts, or words to that effect. I didn't see any such signs in the main casino, only in the back annex, which is pretty lonely late at nite.
Thanks for the news and the summary. The operators who get it will bring in the more informed palyers. The average tourist hasn't a clue. Lets hope these operators flourish!!
I'm not a big fan of The Plaza, but I do enjoy Vegas Club. I have met some very nice dealers there. It's usually nice and quiet in there and almost always easy to find a spot at a table. Collection of sports items is neat too. I do wish they could revamp the place a little bit and add some better restaurants. I still personally enjoy the Fitz the most downtown.

Me too -- so long as they dial back the awful scent that they add to the air. On our last trip it was way too much to handle downstairs. Upstairs was okay.

We went to Las Vegas Club yesterday and found that most of the banks that said they were 40% looser were video slots. There were only 2 little rows of 3 machines each that were video poker that had the same sign above them and we had no luck on the machines or getting a drink. We also find that Ellis is taking out more video poker machines every time we go there. There are so few now and they are usually busy. These places that rely on locals during the week such as Ellis and Palace Station should realize that many locals prefer video poker to slots. The owner of South Point seems to understand as there is a great assortment of video poker machines.
I have a pretty good system of identifying a winning machine. I watch for someone to buy in twice without removing their players card and then busting out. The key is they have to buy in twice. When they leave the machine is ready to light up like a firecracker.
A basic question: I know slot machines are fun, with the bells and whistles and all, and once in a while someonoe does actually win some money, but everyone knows (or should) that slots is were the casinos make their money. Why not stick to something like blackjack, where you at least have some skill-related control over your probability of winning?
How much clearer can it be said- the casinos readily admit that they are robbing you while you are being "entertained"- you now get to "enjoy" the experience for a longer period of time. As they say, "stupid is as stupid does". And the beat goes on....
Overstate much, Doctor? Lol
how about staying at LVC, how are the rooms? if i am going to play there i might want to stay there. anybody been there lately and can tell us about it. Thanks for the info.
