Las Vegas football

The only problem with these projections is will there be thousands of seats on flights from these cities? Fans may be willing, but will airlines add extra flights on Sunday night to get people home?
I live in Hawaii, but was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Last year I went to the Steelers/Chargers game in San Diego. We flew in on Friday. The game was a Monday Night affair. So we spent the weekend sight-seeing in San Diego. It looked like there were more Steeler fans at the game than there were Charger fans. We then flew to Vegas on Tuesday. Many of the Steeler fans did the same thing, as I spotted numerous Steeler hats and shirts on our flight and at various locations in Las Vegas. We spent three days downtown and then three days on the strip. If the Steelers ever were to play in Las Vegas, I would be there. For that matter, if the Raiders do move to Las Vegas, I would cherry pick their schedule and find a game that looked to be good one and fly up for the game. I don't know how others may feel but a NFL game and a trip to Vegas sounds like a good deal to me.
Lot's of charters, I would guess. It will be huge the first few years, then drop to strong, and then still good. That's my guessssssss.

We have tons of flights daily to all cities and we are used to accommodating very large special events. Our airport is the best in the country. We moved to Vegas for the airport and the airport alone. No airport can touch it for the price, availability, easy access and effeciency.

I live in Vegas and am very friendly with several key people at Swissport, the company that runs McCarren.
On a Sunday night, there are usually less than a hundred open seats to most major cities, and adding more than a few charters is problematic.
It's a nice airport. I wouldn't go nuts over it.
Vegas is not used to handling NFL games. It's not a rodeo or boxing match.

Vegas (and McCarran) handle NASCAR (although the city ran out of rental cars the first year). They handle CES. They handle SEMA. They can handle the NFL, a smaller crowd.
None of those events bring in tens of thousands of people from a single city, do they?
I have faith they can figure it out. We deal with logistics all the time. These people are not rookies. Adjustments will need to be made, yes. But large special events is what Vegas does. We only have so many hotel rooms. When rooms are sold out, rooms are sold out. We won't have more people than the city can hold. And the largest stadium is only like 70k. An article a year or so ago said we have about 1.5 million visitors a weekend I believe. Can't remember the exact data now.
A quick google told me that edc alone brought in 135k people. I thought I had read 300k people last year. Saying that Vegas cannot handle 70k people is a non issue.
