Here is the video shot by a fan. WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE !

I work in auto racing, and I can tell you that the competitive passion these people have for what they do does spill over into emotional outbursts on a very regular basis by ALL of them. I can guarantee that it wasn't the first (or tenth, or hundredth) time Jerry Punch had been witness to a profanity-laced outburst coming from a professional race car driver, and it won't be the last. I can also guarantee that Busch would have apologized to Dr. Punch after the incident, even if some douche bag with a cell phone camera hadn't captured it and put it on the web, and Dr. Punch would have accepted the apology, fully understanding the situation and circumstances surrounding it.
Busch had a mechanical failure on the track. He was in the garage area on the way to his hauler when the ESPN crew stopped him. Dr. Punch told Kurt that a piece of his tranny went into the grill on Tony Stewart's car. Kind of convenient that this wasn't on the douche bag's video. Busch was not only out of the race, there was a possibility that his mechanical failure could also directly affect Stewart's chances of winning the championship. Pressure and frustration. When the ESPN crew and Dr. Punch stopped Busch, they weren't ready to go live with the interview. They all just stood there for a while (minutes, not seconds), waiting for the producer to have them go live. Kurt even asked if they could tape the interview instead of just standing around, and he was told they wanted it to be live. He just needed to get to his hauler to unwind, but they were insisting that he just stand there with a camera in his face. What was already pressure and frustration escalated into anger.
Kurt Busch is a human being. When pressed, he can get pissed off. He was out of competition in the event, may have (they didn't know at the time) affected another racer's championship hopes, and was being held up by the TV crew. He got pissed off. You read a single sentence in this thread and had a similar reaction. Would your meltdown also classify you as an immature brat?
