Day 6
Decided to give parents a morning to themselves, so I had a Vegas "late" night and some fun on the casino floor. The off to Wicked spoon for Breakfast....but wait It has changed. Now they have a Burnch and Dinner, just 2 different offerings per day. Of course brunch is more expensive than breakfast used to be - but hey it is a buffet and one of the best in Vegas. I just love the layout of the Cosmopolitan.
If anyone has any questions, please ask.?
Then off to pickup parents to go to airport for GF. Driving from Cosmo to Vdara is easy...the elevated round-a-bout is little tricking, I saw a cab drive get lost - but easy once you figure it out. We picked up GF then back to hotel. She was ready for some slots, so we let the parents go travel the strip, as we played (we also hit the slots).Met parents for dinner at Ocean Club in the Crystals and sat in the tea pot. It is a cool place to eat and a good talking points for parents. They gave me a huge Chocolate cake for free (birthday), with the best whipped creme. My steak was perfect and it is served on a 400 degree hot plate.
RESTAURANT: Wicked Spoon, 3 of 5, it was just breakfast
RESTAURANT: Ocean Club, Crystals...very cool, huge portions 4 of 5
Day 7
Met parents after Breakfast, GF and I went to Henry's for breakfast, I think we are losing our fascination with the Vegas Buffet. The met parents and drove to Town Square to do some cool shopping. The Town square is 1 mile south of MB and well worth the trip. Nice shops, movie theatre - just a cool place to shop. Ate Lunch as Brio Italian...very good food and the BEST dessert of the trip.....Caramel Marscapone cheesecake returned parents and we went back to Cosmo for a little slots and a "nap" in the room. Then shower and ready for the show....yeah !!!!
This is one of the MANY parts of Vegas I love. no rush shower, get nice and dressed, pick up parents drive to Palazzo for JERSEY BOYS, hands down the best, most fun show in Vegas. Parents LOVED it (much better than Elvis) and so did we.
Then stayed at plazzo for late dinner at Del Toro. sat outside, still 85 degrees and perfect.
Returned parents to Vdara and we did some late night gaming - then to bed.
RESTAURANT: Henry, great sausage, 4 of 5
RESTAURANT: Brio, town square, 3 of 5, although best dessert - my pizza was cold (i sent back, a first in Vegas)
RESTAURANT: Del Toro, 4 of 5, they get added star for outside dining and seeing the TI pirate show.
