Laughlin Harrah's info

Just wanted to know it has been a few years since we were ove rin laughlin but wnated to know is Harrah's the casino that sits up on the hill. We have stayed at the GN several times but Harrahs got brought up last night and the other couple said Harrah's was on the Colorado River you just walked out the rear and it was like the GN.

Harrah's Laughlin is the southernmost casino along Casino Row. The entrance is, indeed, atop a hill. The parking lots and hotel/casino are off the top of the hill, toward the Colorado River. If one walks out the rear, . . . pardon DonDiego if he chooses to rephrase that, . . . umm, if one exits the hotel/casino to the East one finds oneself on the Colorado River. Harrah's even provides a small beach for one's amusement.

Thanks for yoru reply. I did lose $20 on it. I remembere dit was up the hill but did not remember you could get to the Colorado River that easy. After you posted the reply I kinda remembered a walk way of sorts painted white I believe think we walked along it. This was after 12 Bud lights and a bad losing streak. We have stayed at the GN a fer times. We were there for some type of chili cook off one year. Had a good time. Friends leaving and fltying in Las Vegas and headed for Harrahs tomorrow evening and then headed to Palm Springs and then back to Las Vegas for a week. The Bud Light took over last night on the $20 bet and I lost.

Harrah's has the best and largest beach of the casinos in Laughlin, as it's located somewhat in a cove off of the Colorado river. However, accessing the rest of the town via walking is difficult - there's no riverwalk that connects to the other properties, so you actually have to walk the driveway up the hill to the main road then down to the next casino, or take the water taxi. My wife and I stopped by there on Saturday via the river taxi - $4 each way per person.
