The employees at my local Dick's Sporting Goods need to read this article. I was just there. While waiting in line I overhear the following:

Dick's employee #1 on phone: no, I don't think we have them.
Employee #2: We have them but we can't sell them.
Dick's employee #1 after she hangs up phone: why are people calling asking for LeBron James jerseys?
Dick's employee #2: I think he changed teams or something.
Dick's employee #3: Did he go to the Cavs?
Dick's employee #4: No, he went to back to Cleveland.

I think of when Dr. Jerry Buss was the active owner and Jerry West was the GM. I think if they were around when this situation arose, I think there would have been better than a 50/50 chance of landing him. With Jim Buss now running things, and with there being no head coach in place, there was no chance.
