Let it snow, let it snow..

Looks like we have a big'un of a snow storm bearing down on us, we're right on the border of the 5"-10" to 8"-15" forcast. I made a huge batch of beef broth((I was making anyway),gonna make some beef noodle soup and think of some other things to mae with out of it. I made a huge batch a few months ago that turned out to be I think the best soup I've ever had, if it wasn't the best, in the top three for sure.

I also hit the grocery store today and made sure to pick up 3 loaves of bread and vat of milk, never can be too careful.

To all getting hit, stay warm and stay safe!

Be safe and stay warm. Not trying to rub it in but I have been in gym shorts and tank tops all week here in the Tampa Bay area.
Low 80's in So. California today.
Yup, I get to fight my way through the snow one more time!!! Heading to Atlantic City this weekend, so I have something to look forward to

And I dream of April and my trip to Vegas where it will be in the 80s, just perfect!

It's been freezin' over here in the Mountains for some time. teechur and DonDiego had some ice in the plumbing a few weeks ago, . . . no damage though.

DonDiego's had to fill his bird-seed feeders every day this week. Yesterday there was a hawk on the ground under the feeders briefly; he's too big to actually get any seeds, but he pr'bly come by to see what the other birds were up to. Today those cardinals, and bluejays, and titmouses, and Carolina wrens, and chickadees, and doves, and peckerwoods have been filling up on sunflower seeds and suet. DonDiego hopes they'll be warm enough through the night.
We made a big batch of meatball soup which is delicious. Only problem is that our temps are reaching 80 degrees today! Sorry you people are suffering....just don't move to San Diego!

Do you have any tomatoes yet? Ours are doing great. My strawberries kept disappearing. We found out why last night when we spotted Peter Cottontail in the garden.

One thing I learned is the variety of tomatoes we planted will only get so red on the vine and then it will split before it fully ripens. We pick them when they start turning reddish orange and then put them in the window and they ripen up just fine. I will say the ones you grow yourself taste so much better than what you buy in the store.
Looks like my area is in the 10"-15" range.

Its snowing lightly, and I was able to make it to work this morning.

Hopefully they will let us go early, ........ if not, I'll be bailing out at noon

Rick
Lots of snow in the trees, so no work there but plenty of snow pushing.
I made a homemade chicken pot pie with the mashed potatoe top. My brothers and a couple of their friends came by late last night.
Needed to make 2 pot pies.
I am supposed to fly to Vegas on Saturday am; hoping my plane and crew will be at JFK
