I've found a new free online poker site called Hog Wild Poker. They have several different prize tournament series every month. Winners receive cash, trips to Vegas, tournament buy-ins at local casinos, and other prizes. They offer nightly freeroll tournaments with $50, $100, and $200 prize pools. I won $40 in one of the games about a month ago and received my check in less than a week. Again, it is totally free to play in any of the prize series tournaments.
I have set up a series of tournaments for the players in my bar poker league. In order for us to qualify for one of the prize series tournaments players must play in at least four games with at least nine players. I want to make sure we have enough players for each of these tournaments so I am opening the games to all players. To find my set of tournaments, go to the "Leagues" tab at the top of the app. Scroll down to "St. Louis Texas Holdem". Click on the "Details" box to find the times for my games. When you click on the "Register" tab for the tournament, it will ask you if you want to join the league. Please click the "Join League" box so we get credit for your play. The first game for my league will start May 1st at 10:00 PM, Eastern time. I will have tournaments during the afternoon as well. I set the times for the online games as not to conflict with my "live" tournaments at the bars. The top five players in the league will play in a special tournament on June 6th against players in other leagues for buy-ins for a tournament in Vegas. These prizes are transferrable should you win and cannot attend.
Should enough of you decide to join this site, I can set up tournaments for us as well. Just let me know and I can get something set up for the June series of tournaments.
