LOL My Obamacare Premium is going up 50% in 2016

LOL Obamacare premiums for malibber's fellow Hoosiers are going DOWN 17%.

We do not know if the deductibles went up or if there are less doctors and hospitals in these plans

Paragraph 2 says the national avg increase is 7.5%. Remember when Obama said that premiums would go down.
We were also promised that Obamacare would be revenue neutral are better. Liberals brag about premiums in he rare case when they do down, but don't address subsidies.

forkush's "screen-grab" of the IndyStar story does not provide the entire story. Here are some quotes from the article which, although entitled "Average benchmark Obamacare premium falling in Indiana", is surprisingly honest in presenting both sides of the Obamacare premium story:

item: "Rates in Anchorage, Alaska, were high in 2014 and have gone up by double digits since then. A 40-year-old nonsmoker there will pay $719 a month for a benchmark plan next year, compared with $298 in Indianapolis."

item: "Anthem, the insurer that covers the most Hoosiers buying plans on the exchange, is raising rates by about 4 percent on average, according to rate filings with the Indiana Department of Insurance.
Anthem customer Les Kiesel, of Haubstadt, however, said the premium for his family plan is increasing from $1,068 a month to $1,269, a 19 percent increase."

item: "More than 219,000 Hoosiers selected a plan through last year’s open enrollment period.
By the end of June, however, the number of Hoosiers with an active policy had fallen to 167,261. Those who dropped out could be receiving coverage through Medicaid or an employer plan, or might have stopped paying their premiums for other reasons and are uninsured."

DonDiego has nothing but sympathy for malliber2's Obamacare circumstances.

I posted the same article earlier in the thread.

Obamacare did not create private insurance companies....nor does it tell them which doctors to include within their networks...nor did it create a lack of competition for healthcare providers in rural areas with sparse populations. If you are the only doctor in a small town you can charge a premium for services without fearing the loss of patients who have nowhere else to go - and its possible insurance companies may drop you. That was true before Obamacare and it is true after Obamacare - despite Don Diego's attempt to portray this as a new dynamic under Obamacare.

Anecdotally, you can find people who still fall through the cracks (like Malibber). Or you can look at the bigger picture like the statistics in the article. And thats been the debate on this board since the law's passing. Forkush gives collective statistics - and Boilerman responds with a story about his friend, Nick. I post collective statisitics and DonDiego tells a story about his doctor. And the wheel goes round and round and round.

To date, more than 16 million people have received healthcare that previously did not have it.

The only positive stat that pj has is 16m signups. However all the other parts are a failure. Premiums are going up, we were promised down. Deductables are up. You can't keep your doctor

Your inability to cite your information is an ongoing failure for 5 years.

Incidentally, Obamacare is the same model Paul Ryan and the Republicans want to switch Medicare to: A government run exchange of private insurance companies. Lets remember all of Hoops' crying about Obamacare when he starts cheering for the Republican Medicare overhaul bills coming in the future.
One interesting statistic I heard this week is 2014 will mark the first year a country (Japan) used more Adult diapers than baby diapers.....something to look forward to.
Since PJ and friends assured us that I could keep my plan if I liked my plan, and that I could keep my doctor if I liked my doctor, why is PJ now telling me that Obamacare gives us no such assurances. Where is the 25% savings promised.

PJ and Boiler both knew Obama was feeding us a pack of lies, yet PJ is supporting of lies that promote his beliefs.

Okay, I have to share this with you. Somebody I worked with, who is a real free spirit, was going to a rock concert at what was then known as Tampa Stadium. He knew he would be pounding beer and he knew he would be out on the field a long way from the restrooms.

He gets the bright idea to buy some Depends. Keep in mind he was in his early 30's at the time. While still in the comfort of his own home he decides to test his Depends. He drinks a six pack and steps out onto his front yard and proceeds to urinate while wearing a Depends. Needless to say his experiment failed.

Like I said he is a real free spirit. He has since retired to the beach living the good life.
