LOL My Obamacare Premium is going up 50% in 2016

Malibber could see Forkie drowning in a stream that had an average depth of 2 feet deep because once he made it out the center of the stream where it was eight feet deep he would refuse to swim.

malibber is only qualified to talk about his own premiums, and his premium went up 50%. All of the anthem polices offered in my marketplace appear to have gone way up. Using health care.gov to look at various plans offered in my zip code their plans now rank at the bottom of the comparisons because they have the highest premium. However, malibber doesn't think it is practical to drive an hour one way to see a primary care physician. malibber notes their are 7 primary care physicians within ten minutes of his home, but none of them are in network with these new Obamacare policies offered by these new companies. Nor does malibber think it is practical to pay an insurance premium every month and to be told oh by the way your going to need to come up with another $13,500 to cover your out of pocket costs on the year.

Of course those familiar with malibber's rants, are well aware he is cynic. As such malibber sees this as a deliberate bug that was built into the system. How do you discourage people from using their medical insurance? You make it very inconvenient or almost impossible for them to use it.

Since PJ and friends assured us that I could keep my plan if I liked my plan, and that I could keep my doctor if I liked my doctor, why is PJ now telling me that Obamacare gives us no such assurances. Where is the 25% savings promised.

PJ and Boiler both knew Obama was feeding us a pack of lies, yet PJ is supporting of lies that promote his beliefs.

I never assured squat. I say private insurance companies today have the freedom to change their networks - and that was true before Obamacare too. Please correct that statement if you believe it is wrong by showing me the pre-2009-law that prevented insurance companies from engaging in this practice...

Boilerman can't admit his primary criticism of Obamacare is also a symptom of the system he demands we go back to. But that's par for the course, isn't it?

Peope who object to this practice are attacking Obamacare from the left - which is just honky dory by me. Just please understand you are demanding more big government regulation which requires private companies to provide more access.
obama and company sold this program that premiums would go down & you could keep your doctor. Many people said that wouldn't happen. Now that we know it was a lie & pj is spinning.
You can keep your plan, keep your doctor, and you'll save money. Apparently not, not, and not.

Okay, I have to share this with you. Somebody I worked with, who is a real free spirit, was going to a rock concert at what was then known as Tampa Stadium. He knew he would be pounding beer and he knew he would be out on the field a long way from the restrooms.

He gets the bright idea to buy some Depends. Keep in mind he was in his early 30's at the time. While still in the comfort of his own home he decides to test his Depends. He drinks a six pack and steps out onto his front yard and proceeds to urinate while wearing a Depends. Needless to say his experiment failed.

Like I said he is a real free spirit. He has since retired to the beach living the good life.

Holy crap! Free spirit? I would say so. Great story ,or was it really a "friend"? You live on the beach living the good life don't ya Tut? Hmm..

More good news on obamacare

This week, UnitedHealth Group, America’s largest health insurer, announced that it had sustained heavy losses in selling insurance on the Obamacare exchanges and that it might be forced to pull out of the exchanges altogether. The news from other insurers is not much better. Aetna, Anthem, and Cigna, three of UnitedHealth’s biggest competitors, will no longer offer exchange coverage in a number of counties across the country, which could be a sign that they’ll retrench even further in the future. You might have heard that insurance premiums on the exchanges are rising substantially, which isn’t exactly welcome news.

But the bigger problem is arguably that insurers have been trying to hold down premium increases by narrowing the range of providers in their networks and hiking deductibles as high as they can. The result has been a spate of stories about disgruntled insurance beneficiaries, many of whom blame Obamacare for their woes
All the insurance companies are waiting to see if UnitedHealth's hardball position is rewarded with the government subsidies that we Conservatives knew would be required. I'm guessing that lots of Liberals also understood that this day would come, but lies are acceptable with this group as long as the lies aid in expanding the nanny state.

Obeyme care is nothing but a Ponzi scheme - funded by the young ( who refuse to pay the outlandishly high monthly premiums). It will NEVER work. Those who voted for Obeyme (PJ, etc.) will never admit that they have been lied to by the worst President ever. In a nation of over 300 million people, 16+ million people signed up for Obeyme care does NOT equate to health insurance for everyone. One would have to be a complete moron and imbecile to tout Obeyme care.

For the moment shoveling more cash into the Obamacare "risk corridor" bailout machine is stymied. Senator Marco Rubio recognized the potential increasing costs of this provision and included in the 2015 "spending bill" a provision which prohibited the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from tapping other accounts — like its overall appropriations or its Medicare funding — to fund the risk corridors program.
This may well become a significant issue again; there will be an effort to restore the HHS option to obtain funds not intended for the risk corridor program to fund it anyway in the 2016 "spending bill".

[An aside: DonDiego remembers the days when there was no year-end spending bill. Back then "The Government" was not so omnipresent in its citizens' lives and Congress did its job, . . . debating individual funding bills all session long and passing them to fund Government programs as necessary after meaningful discussion/debate/vote to improve and economize.
Nowadays it is normal to just lump as many expenditures as possible into a "year-end spending bill" which "must be passed !" sometime in early December, or "The Government will shut-down !"
This political pressure inevitably increases the likelihood of ever-more wasteful appropriations making their way into the giant year-end cornucopia. It is just such pressure that may restore the HHS ability to employ funds intended for other purposes into The Obamacare money-machine.
DonDiego yearns for the good old days.]
