I know what the theory is, but I don't view it that way at all. Coast is renting rooms on the cheap and then transporting its guests to the strip to spend $$.
I don't see the typical strip visitor willing to spend triple-digits for a room and then eager to tolerate the shuttle to play 9/6 instead of 9/5. Those of us on a value-oriented Vegas board are not representative of Vegas visitors. I am a case study myself. I took a free three night room offer from Rio in October and jumped on the shuttle to the strip where I spent most of my dining and gambling budget at Wynn and MGM.
