The Lost and Found Scam

There's a difference between asking to have something returned to you that didn't belong to you than thanking someone for helping you.

For the record, I've only tried the $20 trick once several years ago. I've found that by being cheerful and polite, most front desk associates are willing to help. If they find me a better room, I'll tip to say thank you.

I always just ask nicely for an upgrade to the presidential suite and negotiate down from there. I have had many free upgrades without ever offering any extra money. The clerks have discretion to provide complementary room upgrades. They are allowed to accept tips. It's not a bribe but a tip for extra service....Just like tipping the Maitre d for a good seat is not a bribe. Hopefully you can see the difference between this practice and stealing from the lost and found.

Put me in a building that has fair rules, and I will play the game fairly.

When poor old DonDiego encounters an unfair game he just leaves. A more fastidious fellow might file a report with the Gaming Commission.

If glenwiggy thinks all the games are not fair, because the house has an edge, . . . he is simply mistaken. The edge is how casinos stay in business.
If an advantage player can find a lower house-edge or even beat the game, so be it. But playing unfairly or lying should not be part of the game on either side of the table.

I can't believe that someone would tell a bullshit story like yours to get a measly $10 -20 bucks! Have you no pride or dignity whatsoever? You could not be some one I would consider a "friend" on being dishonest!

You suck totally, sorry but a spade is spade!

I do. I was just stirring the shit pot.
I still say his worst offense is not being funny. At least not here. What he posts here is never funny!
well this was an interesting thread!!! I would never have done that either. I once read if money is found on the floor of a casino, it legally belongs to the casino.

My friend lost her blackberry in Bally's once, and was able to get it from the lost and found, luckily. I am sure if I lost my I Phone 5, it would never be seen again.
