<YAWN> What If . . . <YAWN> . . .

. . . they opened a new casino resort, . . . <YAWN> . . . in Atlantic City, . . . and <YAWN> . . . nobody noticed.

Revel
There is a lot of buzz about it here in NJ. I'm going on Friday.
This wouldn’t be a government funded casino would it?

Why Is Christie Bailing Out A Casino [fixed it - DD]
Although DonDiego recognizes the difference between "funding" and a "tax break", he nonetheless finds such decisions to be burdensome on the residents of the State in which they are made. If DonDiego were a resident of the Garden State he might take umbrage.

This sort of Government largesse is, perhaps, why the Garden State is recognized as the "State Where People Pay the Most Taxes".
Ref: 24/7 Wall Street

We certainly pay a lot of taxes here in the Garden State. And, I'm damn umbraged about this tax break/funding thing. It sure as heck ain't fair to the other casinos in NJ that this fancy new one funded by the state will take money from the other casinos.

I'll post a report on Saturday about my trip to the fancy new government funded Revel unless this thread continues down its political path to certain doom.

DonDiego intended it only as a report on a new casino opening. Kumquat [aka malliber] made it political.

Why do folks need more than one user-name? Are they up to no good?

Anyway, snidely333 should still post a report on Revel, . . . even if it requires a new thread, as is likely.

We can't talk about casino owners? Who is this malibber that you speak of?

That's how I feel about it too.....
Same thing down here in North Havana with the proposed Genting "Behemoth".

Guess what group of citizens are pushing for its development ?
