Lucifer in the flesh.

I typed in Ted Cruz fights the right to own dildos and quite a few hits came up.

This one I find very disturbing

In addition, Cruz also defended a Texas ban on the sale of dildos and other sex toys, and in so doing made the absurd claim that Americans have no right to masturbate:
There is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one’s genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship.
Mother Jones reports that in 2007, Cruz, working on behalf of then-Attorney General Greg Abbott (who now is the governor), filed a 76-page brief with the US Court of Appeals, arguing that there is no “right to promote dildos, vibrators, and other obscene devices.”
The brief went on to compare the use of sex toys with “hiring a willing prostitute or engaging in consensual bigamy,” and it equated advertising these products with the commercial promotion of prostitution, declaring:
… that Texas in order to protect “public morals” had “police-power interests” in “discouraging prurient interests in sexual gratification, combating the commercial sale of sex, and protecting minors.” There was a “government” interest, it maintained, in “discouraging…autonomous sex.”
In perhaps the most noticeable line of the brief, Cruz goes on to argue that Americans have no right to masturbate:
There is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one’s genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship.

Well, legally, he was right.

Morally.....oh yeah, no such thing as morality in politicians.

Socially, what our government is supposed to be about, that was just down right stupid.

The Federal Court of Appeals said otherwise.

2 to 1. Splitting the fifth circuit from the Eleventh and Third.

The majority, consisting of Reavley and Prado preaching a long winded diatribe on the subject (which I agree with) but never substantiating anything then shortly surmising their reversal based on advertising in Lawrence vs. Texas.

So.....

He petitioned for an en banc, and was turned down, so that tells me it wasn’t a close case. Anyway, I always thought that ruling was quite sound. In a nutshell a right without the means to excise it is useless.

Let's make fun of Ted.
He likes to eat hair.

It will talk about how Ted argued before a federal court on the taxpayer's dime that women didn't have the right to buy dildos and vibrators.

That cost millions? How do people come up with these numbers, does Cruz bill the govt. 50K an hour or something? I thought he was a working stiff from 9-5 like most people (so to speak anyway). The numbers some people come up with is truly astonishing.

Why I've been a vehement supporter of the right to masturbate since I was 12 or so. At least. I also support evryone elses right to as well. LET's HEAR FOR MASTURBATORS!!
