Luxor Room?

Booked a week at the Luxor in April for a good rate and perks ( $25 gaming credit, $50 resort credit at MGM resorts, free tower upgrade and MGM player club check in).

My question is..do they have safes in the rooms? Ive stayed there a few years ago but as I get older Ive seemed to forgot and their website doesnt say one way or the other.

Also has anyone ever used the MGM players club check in? Iam just glad or whishing I dont have to stand in any lines.

We had a safe in our room. Check-in wasn't a big deal when we arrived - even though we had the VIP check-in we didn't use it as there was no line at the desk.
Maybe you can put the resort credit toward the resort fees?
I heard that NYNY increased theirs by $11.00 per night this week.

"by" or to $11.00?

BY $11.00 - that was the increase! It is now $28.00 per night!
You can find a reasonable hotel just for the cost of their resort fee - Mirage Group are committing suicide - IMHO

We updated at the end of last year, but when we came to do a new check today, we found that many properties have quietly upped their fees, some significantly. For example, the Orleans' nightly charge is now up from $5 to $6, Hooters has increased to $9.95 from $7.50, Wynn/Encore upped their resort fee by $5 to $25/night, as has MGM Grand, while the Monte Carlo's up almost $6 to $22.40 (previously $16.80) and New York-New York is up a whopping $11 from $16.80 to $28.
