A note to all players, the race this weekend in Texas is a Saturday night race so get your rosters in before 7:00 p.m. EDT.

Something I didn't know until today when I checked the NASCAR website. Rockingham is back! They'll be running a truck race there Sunday. NASCAR took the track off their schedule 8 years ago. I've been going to the drag strip across the street for work for 5 years (will be there again in a couple weeks) and always thought that the roundy-round facility on the other side of the road was going to waste big time. It is a modern facility with a long NASCAR history that needs be back on the schedule for all of their racing series. I just hope NASCAR fans in North Carolina realize how important their support for the truck race this weekend will be. NASCAR going back to a track they dropped is very very rare

I hope everyone in the area supports the track. It was always a good race track that deserves a second chance. Nascar needs to get rid of a few 1.5 mile tracks and one race at Pocano. One's enough. Bristol is doing something to please the fans!!! Check their web site. Tim. Only 135 days till Bristol night race!

I agree.
Git rid of one of those Bruton Smith tracks (NASCAR needs some controversy) & bring back "The Rock", (remember, Bruton dumped the remaining race in order to transfer date to Texas) it'll come full circle then, Penske to ISC to SMI to Andy Hillenburg.

It's race weekend here in Texas and we are there. My car packed and ready. Got my Dale Jr backpack, scanner and cooler to go. Let's go Dale Jr.

Have a great time, and hopefully you guys will have great weather this weekend!

Dale Junior has been looking pretty good so far this year...he won't win the race, but I am sure he will do pretty good at Texas. Maybe a top 5?

Every frickin week the media writes the same old story:

"Earnhardt Jr is <poised, ready, excited, overdue, long overdue, close to ending drought, creeping closer> to ending (place your number here) race win less streak".

I'm a big Dale Jr fan as much as the next guy & Texas is one of his best performing tracks, but damn how long should the weekly hype last ?

Nothing to do with the Cup race in Texas this weekend, but the NHRA is in Charlotte this weekend and I found this photo of a pit vehicle there. That cart could serve as my daily driver for most of what I need to do around town. I want one!
