I typically have four to seven tabs open simultaneously whether I am on my laptop of IPhone. I have always wondered how long it shows me logged in when I have neglected the site for a long period of time.

Sue, advertising may be set on number of visitors and clicks.

Terry, when I sold web advertising, it was based on number of hits -- people opening the page. The advertiser would, after running the ad, get a report on how many people clicked on his ad, and he would use this info to decide whether to renew his advertising. I open lots of web pages, but never click on ads.

No offense to AC, but in the internet world, the traffic on this site is a drop in the bucket. Revenue is sold on a per thousand unique visit basis. For example an advertiser would pay $5 for every thousand unique visitors. So 20,000 visits would generate $100. In the real world there are advertisers paying as little as $1 per thousand

The traffic on this site is more valuable to a casino and they could be paying higher rates

I never considered LVA a Vegas site, I rarely visit Vegas sites unless I have a trip planned. I always thought of this place as entertaining and visited a couple of time a day for years.

LVA seems less entertaining these days, so I check in less often, but still way more than any other "Vegas site".

I don't think this should matter because I am the worst kind of visitor:
Never paid a cent to LVA.
Never clicked an ad on LVA.
Never added any worthwhile content to LVA.

So yeah, I will be missed.

Point is I have a problem with a sick perverted mental case name rhousedj that is so obsessed with me that he follows me all over this board.

I finally figured out that the reason that he is making fun of my Vegas trip is he is going to miss me while I am gone.

I can bet you all that around 6:30pm central time he will come home from mopping the jail cells at the police station all angry that the prisoners messed them up and that he did not get any action from them today.

That is about the time I take my lunch break and I look at the board and see when he starts his insults and responding to all my posts.

The tracking software times out if there is no clicking, scrolling, or mouse movement. There are too many variations to give you hard numbers. Most are set to time out after at maximum 10 min.

Some of the tracking and rating companies even "watch" how your mouse noves over a page and how you scroll a page.

That kind of tracking can be thrown off if you are watching a movie on netflix but don't worry they thought about that.
