LVA'ers on Ashley Madison ?

Wasn't the Don't Ask Don't Tell law enacted by our "first Black President" - Bill Clinton?

Duggars an A-hole and yes ,they come in all different flavors..errr,walks of life.

No, it is not that malibber thinks that no liberals or dems would use the service it is that malibber thinks that liberals and dems mind their own business about private sexual things, and don't try to dictate to others how to behave in that regard.

So, your comments about Josh Duggar were an example of you minding your own business about private sexual things and not trying to dictate to others how to behave in that regard?
By criticizing hypocritical behavior, malibber was "trying to dictate" to Duggar how to behave?

Bob, I fear you have vocabulary issues that are beyond the scope of this forum to fix.

So in Bruce's (and malibber's) world, criticizing behavior does not mean the behavior should be changed?

It's hard to keep up on which words have different meanings for liberals than they do for normal people...

Hypocritical behavior should always be criticized, but no one is calling for it to be made illegal.

On the other hand many prominent Republicans would have laws keeping gays and lesbians from getting married.
And serving openly in our armed forces.
And receiving Social Security death benefits.
And adopting children.
And receiving equal treatment in commercial establishments.
And supervising their partner's needs if they are hospitalized.
And being employed by government agencies.
And walking around free.

And many many Republicans have voted for candidates who support such laws. Obviously Republicans tend to be more bigoted.

Yep, and that's another reason Hillary lost in 2008 (in addition to her vote to let the idiot go to war in Iraq.)

Bill made a campaign promise to let gays in the military, but then "triangulated" (gutlessly chickened out) and compromised with Republicans and supported DADT. So when Hillary ran for president, big time Clinton supporter billionaire David Geffen - the 'G' in Dreamworks SKG - supported Obama instead.

That was about 20 years ago. Of course if you go back 40 or 50 years, Republicans and Democrats were pretty much equal when it came to being bigoted against gays and lesbians. But these days, Republicans have a big lead in that category, don't they?

That is exactly what I was doing. See, we agree on something!

Uhm.....no.

Where is your evidence that Republicans are more bigoted? Try these:

The democrats supported slavery, started a war to keep slaves and killed the president that freed the slaves.
The KKK was started as the militant arm of the democrat party.
Democrats conceived and implement the forced relocation and genocide of the native Americans.
The democrats forced thousands of Japanese American citizens into interment camps
The democrats opposed the civil rights act , the voting rights act, desegregation etc.
The democrat founder of planned parenthood believed in the virtues population limits for the black race through abortion
The democrat party until recently had KKK members in congress (R. Byrd )

Forkie must be proud.....

Wow that's a current list! Which of those things are you actually old enough to remember?
Hmmm. I see stereotyping of conservatives but no comment on Elliot Spitzer. He did far more than criticize cheating on your spouse, he prosecuted prostitution rings, while he was seeing prostitutes on the side.

Well the whole Ashley Madison thing is about having extra-marital affairs, not prostitution. So as DonDiego might say, why don't you start a whole nother thread about it.

But yeah, Spitzer was a hypocrite for prosecuting people for behavior he engaged in. You can quote me on that new thread too.
My advice for Democrats and Republicans alike. If you ever find yourself considering cheating on your spouse...don't do it. Either be up front and get some marriage counseling and try to work things out or get a divorce and move on. One or the other.

Cheating is no way to go through life. I don't think it's wrong to view a person negatively for cheating on his or her spouse...because it shows a lack of character....even if they are Democratic cheaters.

Now if you're in one of them there 'Open' relationships where neither spouse cares about sex with other partners, then that's ok too. I just don't think that's very prevalent....compared to the millions who signed up for Ashley Madison.
