Gosh you mean the Democratic ticket isn't perfect in every way? Now please don't tell me that politicians I vote for will sometimes disappoint and not even keep their campaign promises! Heavens to Betsy, where's the fainting couch.

Or maybe you should stop being an infant.

The imperfect Senator Kaine has made an overnight conversion to the anti-TPP side; that's not ideal, but I'll take it. And I have other reasons for liking him for Vice President:

  • He never wrote anything as criminally stupid as Mike Pence's "Smoking doesn't kill.
  • He never cost his state's economy millions by signing an anti-gay rights bill like Pence.
  • As governor he took on Big Tobacco - in Virginia - and won.
  • As governor he took on the NRA - in Virginia - and won.
  • As governor he took on the death penalty - in Virginia - and won.

He's well respected by several Republican US Senators. And he's served as mayor, governor, and senator - never lost an election, and if Hillary wins Virginia and Florida, it's probably over. We might know who the next president is by 7 PM Eastern election day. Remember, you heard it here first.
  • Trump picked Mike Pence as this VP. Pence not only voted to go to war in Iraq but he still thinks the war was a good thing.

Heavens to Betsy! Perfect in Every Way? Your ticket supports all the key neocon policies you used to claim Republicans used to bring down the country . They're the Neolibs. I guess the Iraq War you blamed on Republicans and the Financial Crisis you blamed on Bank Deregulation really weren't serious issues for our country after all and you can just ignore them now. Move along. Nothing to see here. What difference does it make? Hypocrite. Heck, if those weren't real and serious convictions, you should have just voted for McCain in 2008.

Oh yeah. Even Bill Kristol loves him. And so does Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse. You must be so proud.

Hillary voted to authorize the moron to go to war, which is why I (and a few thousand other people) kept her from becoming the nominee in 2008. Obviously repealing the 22nd Amendment would be a preferable solution this time, but you got to go by the Constitution.

Trump lied about opposing the Iraq War, but I'm sure if he was faced with a similar situation he'd ask Vladimir what to do.

"Trump lied about opposing the Iraq War"

I believe you have been asked to provide proof of that, but have yet to do so

Hillary supported the Iraq war. Trump did not support that war. How'd that Hillary reset button work with the Russians? I love how you believe the Putin Hacked the DNC and turned that over to Wikileaks because he loves The Donald....without a shred of evidence except 'unnamed' experts. It's all tin hat stuff unless you have some proof. I wonder if Obama is having the NSA look this hack. If it was the Russians how do you know it was love for Donald that motivated them? How do you know it wasn't payback for the Panama Papers, Or being booted from the Olympics or sanctions for Crimea.

On the other hand, I'd welcome better cooperation with Russia....like John Kerry is trying to negotiate right now. If Trump can improve US/Russian relations isn't that a good thing? Would you rather have Vlad and Donnie all kissy kissy and cooperating or War Monger Hillary facing off Putin with Nukes? I guess I just love peace not war.

Don't get that Cruz's selfish stunt just killed his hopes for 2020? You're such a smart ass then explain it to us.
Ted Cruz:"I'd like to endorse the guy who accused my father of plotting President Kennedy's assassination because..."

Perhaps Cruz was the principled one here.

YIKES! I agree with Forkie and hell does not appear to be freezing over!

Back to the original topic. I listened to Ted's speech and he never criticized Trump on the night of the speech. I don't think he even mentioned his name. The next day, Ted doubled down and criticized Trump only AFTER Trump criticized Ted.

Ted's speech praised first responders, freedom & liberty, and encouraged people to vote in November. Could Donald expect anything more after criticizing Ted's wife and father?

Even then Donald tried to upstage Ted by shutting down the screens during his speech and entering the auditorium at the most opportune point in the speech.

Ted earned the second most votes in the primaries. If he stayed home instead, wouldn't that have been even more devisive? That would be akin to Bernie Sanders staying home.

If I were Ted Cruz, I would have done exactly the same thing.

"Cruz’s move, however, appears to have backfired. While 60% of Republican voters had a positive impression of the former presidential candidate before the convention, just 33% have one now." As I predicted. That is an epic collapse of public opinion. Most people thought he was just being selfish. It backfired....Obviously. I always thought he was a phony.
